He added they played with heart
and character and that the 1-0 loss to
Plattsville was a heartbreaker.
“They tried hard and it’s all part of
hockey and when you’re a strong
team and aggressive it seems to
catch you that much harder,” he said.
Howson also said he was proud of
the way the team played. He
indicated the players have grown as
a team since the beginning of the
season and their skills sets are
working amazingly.
“We’re not only seeing that as
coaches, but other people from other
centres are coming up and talking
about their skills set, and how
they’re playing,” he said. “Their
lines are matched really well and
how they’re playing with confidence
and they’re really improving.”
The coach said they were
disappointed they didn’t advance to
the playoff round.
