of Directors and I think that’s
necessary for change.”
Black said that it’s hard to
institute change immediately with
anything and that it has to made with
everyone involved being
comfortable or else it’s going to be
rejected.
“We don’t need youth or change
in the OFA just for the sake of
having them, we need them and they
need to be credible,” he said. “We
need the delegates to be comfortable
with changes and that’s what we’ve
started here.”

It was Nov. 18, 1961 when
Margaret Moses, daughter of James
and Ruby Moses of Vineland
Station, tied the knot with Dan, son
of Donald and Elsie Webster of
Chatham, at Vineland United
Church. The ceremony was
officiated by Rev. Harry Kay.
The ceremony’s bridesmaids were
Patricia Moses, Barbara Kuhn, Janet
Webster and Jane Dustan and the
groomsmen were Robert Lewies,
Estyl Mooney, Alan Webster andJames Moses.The couple then headed forNiagara Falls for their honeymoon
before settling back down in Guelph
to live.
In 1961 Dan graduated from the
University of Guelph after taking
Horticultural Correspondence
courses. Margaret also graduated in
1961 from St. Joseph’s Hospital in
Guelph.
Just a few years later the pair
moved to the area where Dan began
teaching at F.E. Madill Secondary
The Threshers give back
The Huron Pioneer Thresher and Hobby Association made a donation of $2,500 to the
Goderich and Area Disaster Relief Fund to help off-set the cost of those recovering from the
F3 tornado that devastated the town on August 21. The presentation was made during the
