By Jo-Ann McDonald It was a very busy week around the Brussels Legion Branch. Tuesday had the Cadet Corp meet at its usual time. The Corp has a large number of Cadets this year, around 35 attending each week. They appreciate the pop cans people donate to them in their fundraising efforts. Tuesday evening was the executive and general meeting for the Branch. There were seven members of the executive present. The Thursday night dart league had a better week because the lights stayed on, but had a smaller crowd of only eight darters. Winners were: first, Marlene Rutledge and Glenn Zehr; second, Roger McHardy and Sandra Josling; first skunk of the year honours, Bush Whittard and Greta Zehr; high shot, Glenn, 105; high start, Roger, 85. Everyone is welcome to come out for a night of fun. The Branch hosted the zone team darts on Saturday. Play began for the 13 teams at 11 a.m. Representing Brussels was team one – Ron Schmidt, Bob Richardson, Ken Bird and Dan Byersbergen, who did not advance.
