PLAN NUMBER 1-1-596 COMPACT ONE-BEDROOM HOME
The saying that small is beautiful is proved once again by the design of this compact one-bedroom home, which features lofty nine-foot
ceilings throughout, as well as an unfinished basement.
The entry, tucked under generous eaves, is protected in inclement weather. To the right of the foyer and facing the street is a study that
can double as a guest room. French doors open onto a covered porch with a vaulted roof.
At the heart of this home is a combined dining room, kitchen and great room, featuring a built-in entertainment centre and a gas
fireplace.
A small covered deck off the dining room provides the perfect spot for a barbecue.
A kitchen island hides a dishwasher, and the raised eating bar is ideal for casual family meals.
The master suite overlooks the back garden. Beyond the double-sided walk-in closet is an ensuite with a double sink, as well as an
enclosed water closet.
The double garage offers access to the laundry room. Nearby is the coat closet and a powder room.
The exterior features handsome wood detailing over the garage door and at the gables. The design is suitable for a lot that slopes away
from the street.
This home measures 44 feet wide and 59 feet, eight inches deep, for 1,692 square feet of finished space on the main floor, plus an
unfinished basement.
Plans for design 1-1-596 are available for $654 (set of 5), $735 (set of 8) and $782 for a super set of 10. Also add $30.00 for Priority
charges within B.C. or $55.00 outside of B.C. Please add 12% H.S.T., 13% H.S.T. Or 5% G.S.T (where applicable) to both the plan price
and Priority charges.
Our 43RD Edition of the Home Plan Catalogue containing over 300 plans is available for $13.50 (includes taxes, postage and handling).

Continued from page 3“The Church’s Grandparents.” For achild a grandparent is someone withno kids, has glasses, knows whatthey need. Everyone needs agrandma to tell them stories andeveryone needs a grandpa to take them fishing and to tell stories of theolden days. Grandparents let youknow you are loved by everyone. Weas grandparents of the church shouldtell the stories of how God loves usall. Children learn by what they seearound them. If the children see us attending church they are morelikely to come to church. In the scriptures Jesus asks thechildren to come to Him. Our youngpeople are involved in the churchwhen they attend Sunday School andmidweek groups. We must let theyoung people know that they are notalone and that we support them. The choir sang the anthem “TakeTime to be Holy.” The offering wasreceived followed by the responseand the prayer of dedication, prayersfor the world, silent prayers and thesinging of The Lord’s Prayer. Thelast hymn was “Sing a HappyHallelujah” was followed by thecommissioning, the benediction and the singing of “Go Now in Peace.”The congregation remained standingwhile grace was said.Everyone was invited downstairsfor a lunch of ham and scallopedpotatoes.
