THE CITIZEN, THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 2011.Thresher association celebrates 50th reunion Fiftieth reunion colourful and fun This year marked the 50th reunion of the Huron Pioneer Thresher and Hobby Association and the milestone brought vendors, presenters and campers from near and far. Events like the Birds of Flight demonstration, which Blyth Public School teacher Mr. Gole got involved with (top left), musical shows, like the John Heaman’s Band (top right) and the Bluewater Shriners annual fish fry with Shriners like, from left, Lorne Hamilton and Ron Turner at the helm of the fryers (right) were accompanied by a special downtown parade that lasted nearly two hours and featured everything from farm implements to antique cars and older methods of transportation as North Huron Director of Public Works Ralph Campbell proved (bottom right) as well as local businesses and children like the Courtney family and Blyth Building Supplies.
