era of Grey Central, as next school
year it will be renamed to North
Woods Elementary School and
house only students fromKindergarten through the Grade 6.To mark the years that GreyCentral had been a K-8 school, thecouncil decided to revive an old proj-ect; a school cookbook.According to Pam Martin, whospearheaded the project, the books,which will be available at the schoolstarting Sept. 6, feature 432 recipesthat were all contributed by someone
connected with the schools.
“All the contributions were made
by past or present staff, students and
parents from the school,” she said.“The 432 recipes are in eight differ-ent categories, from appetizers to canning and we didn’t leave anyout.”The commemorative cookbooks will cost $10 each and, aside fromtheir permanent place in the office of GLENN CASSELS GOLLEY
Mr. Glenn Golley of RR 4,
Wingham passed away at Wingham
and District Hospital on Tuesday,
Aug. 30, 2011. He was 84.
Glenn was the loving husband of
Norma (Moffatt) for 57 years and
dear father of Dave Golley and Patti
of RR 5, Wingham;
DeWayne Golley of RR 4,
Wingham; Dean Golley and Monica
of Durham and Damian Golley of
Toronto.
Glenn was the loving grandfather
of four grandchildren and one
great-granddaughter. He was the
brother of Dorothy Thornton of St.
Jacobs and Grace Leeson of
South Baymouth and brother-
in-law of Mildred Golley of
Wingham.
Glenn was predeceased by his par-
ents Robert and Ida (Abraham)
Golley and his brothers James and
Clarence.
Visitation was held at McBurney
Funeral Home, Wingham on Sept. 1.
The funeral service was held at the
funeral home chapel Sept. 2. Rev.
Dr. Karen MacRae officiated.
Interment was in Wingham
Cemetery.
Memorial donations to Wingham
and District Hospital Foundation or
a charity of one’s choice would be
appreciated as expressions of sym-
pathy.

sample bags are taken and labelled
with the variety of wheat and where
it is grown then graded by the
Canadian Grain Commission. The
grain is then sent for milling fol-
lowed by a flour quality inspection
by the Canadian International
Grains Institute in Winnipeg,
Manitoba.
The 2011 Harvest Survey is now
underway and any member of Grain
Farmers of Ontario willing to partic-
ipate by supplying the organization
with a sample of wheat should
