Johnson has performed at the
Fireside Café, Wingham and The
Park House, Goderich as well as the
Guelph Jazz Festival and manyinternational events.Percussionist Dave Phillips, proprietor of the Fireside Café ispart of the group Jazz Café Noir

The garden will grow with this help
Blyth Greenway Memory Garden volunteer Bev Elliott, second from right, was presented
with two cheques last week – one from Cheryl Hessels, second from left, of the Normoska
Auto Exhibitors from a hot dog meal that the group held and one from Brock and Janis
Vodden. Hessels donated $265 from a hot dog meal after the group couldn’t find anywhere
to seat their hundreds of members for dinner. After tasting John Elliott’s barbecuing skills at
Maple and Moose’s fifth anniversary, they invited him to cook again for them. The Voddens
donated $57.05 from the donations they received for providing walking tour books to the
members of the auto show. (Denny Scott photo)
