presided at. the Christmas
meeting of Ontario St. u,c,w.
Following the singing of
favourite Christmas carols, Mrs.
G. Wright and Mrs. A, Aiken
conducted the worship service,
taking as their theme "Let Your
Light Shine."
During the business session
Mrs. Roberta Plumsteel,
treasurer, • reported a very
successful Christmas tea and
bazaar. Mrs. G. Potter explained
the 1972 budget.
Gary Black played a' medley
of Christmas piano selections
which was much enjoyed by the
- ladies,
Mrs. F. McGregor, introduced
the guest speakers, Mrs, Harry
Brown and Mrs. McCreath who
gave a demonstration of ceramic
making. They showed the
process of making a coffee mug
beginning with the clay in the
mould to the firing and glazing.
On display were many beautiful
ceramics which these ladies had
made, A lovely ceramic
Christmas tree complete with
coloured lights and music box
was particularly appealing.
Mrs. Jack Irwin thanked the
ladies for their very interesting
and humorous demonstration.
The next General meeting
will be January 12. At the close
of the meeting the Evening Unit
served lunch.

Thomas General Hospital on
Monday, December 14, 1971,
Karl Alfred Wilkin, formerly of
Clinton, in his 86th year. The
funeral was held at Beattie
Funeral Home on Wednesday,
December 15, with interment in
Clinton Cemetery.

Canadian Forces Base North
Bay, Ontario, on Saturday, Nov.
20, '1971, by Major S, Clarke,
Protestant Padre.
The bride is a daughter of
Master Warrant Officer and Mrs.
Leonard H. R. Theedom, CFB
North Bay, and a granddaughter
of Mr. and Mrs. E. W.
Colquhoun, Huron St., Clinton.
The groom's parents are Mr. and
Mrs. Christopher Southin,
Ladysmith, British Columbia.
The bride's sister, Robyn
Theedom, North Bay, was maid
of honour, and Frederic Guse,
brother-in-law of the bride was
an usher. A, reception was ,held
in the WO and Sgts. Mess, CFB
North Bay.
The bride's grandmother Mrs.
E. W. Colquhoun, Clinton, held
a shower prior to the wedding,
as did staff members of the
hospital at Oakville, where Miss
Theedom had been an x-ray
technician for the past two
years.
Attending the wedding were
Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Colquhoun,
Clinton; Mr. and Mrs. John E.
Robinson, Zurich and Mr. and
Mrs. George • Hepburn,
Willowdale, uncles and aunts of
the bride.
The young couple are now
residing in Victoria, B.C., after a
honeymoon in Bermuda.

of the craft period. The meeting
was closed with the Explorer
prayer.
