F. BERRY Brucefield firemen were called to a fire at the home of Mr. George Clifton. Fortunately there was little damage. The fire was quickly extinguished from a shed. Mrs. J. W. McBeath visited with her son and family at Windsor over the weekend. The nominating committee of Brucefield U.C.W. met at the home of Mrs. Lorne Wilson on Monday. Mr, Jas. Broadfoot visited over the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Broad foot. Mrs. H. Berry visited over the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. DeWayne Elliott, Windsor. Mrs. Grace Patterson of Brampton visited on Saturday with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs, Wilfred Scott, Brenda, John and David. Mr, William Dale had the misfortune, to break his ankle, while helping his son-in-law, Murray Scott, to get cattle in for the winter on Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. Reg Lawson, John and Elizabeth visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lawson of Clinton. Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Ken Preszcator, Dianne and Nancy were Mr. and Mrs. Russell King and Ugene of Exeter, Miss Linda Preszcator of Clinton and Larry Dillion of Seaforth. Jim Medd of Grand Valley spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Medd. It replaces the one destroyed by fire, November 20, 1970. The Bazaar held at the Huron Centennial School was opened by the Rev. Paul Packman. Guests were welcomed by Mrs. Packman and Mrs. Lorrie Association were Sunday visitors with Mrs. Ella Jewitt and boys, Mrs. Wayne Hoegy and 'Scott spent Tuesday and Wednesday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Dale and Cheryl. Mr. and Mrs. If. Cornforth of Mississauga and Miss Nancy Buchanan of Brampton were Saturday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Don Buchanan, Donna, Jim and Gary. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Riehl, Jackie, Kim and Shelley of Huron Park visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Ben Riley and family. A number of musical brass instrument selections were given by Don McMillan and family of Goderich, There was a mixed choir with duets by Dianne Rodges and Mrs. Rev. Ross Nicholls. Musical trio featured guitars by Mrs. Rolston and accordions by Cindy Cornish and Doug Nicholls, There were a number of testimonies by new Christians. Guest speaker was Wayne McLean, radio and news broadcaster of Toronto. Rev. Nicholls of Goderich closed in prayer. Guests were present from Toronto, Seaforth, Wingham, Brucefield, Winthrop, Clinton and Goderich.
