Bantams
start season
tonight
The Clinton Bantam Fish and
Game Bantam hockey team
begins its regular schedule in
Hensel] Thursday night after a
successful pre-season schedule
which saw them defeat Grand
Bend 6.0 and 6-2 in a home and
home series and take two from
East London Optomists. The
first of these games was played
in Clinton Nov. 13 and ended
5-4. The second was a 9-4 win
on Nov. 21 in Huron Park arena.
With a group of second-year
Bantams showing their
experience and a group up from
last year's Peewees indicating a
liking for the stiffer
competition, it appears this team
will provide minor hockey fans
with many exciting games this
winter.
Their second regular outing
after Thursday's Hensall game
will be against Seaforth on
Saturday evening at 7 p.m. in
the Community Centre.

This year, for the first time,
the Clinton Minor Hockey
Association has a town-league
for the Bantam Division, It has
an even 50 players, divided into
four teams.
The large number of boys (13
and 14 years of age) now playing
in this division is a direct result
of the interest created several
years ago when the policy was
set of giving all kids, good
skaters and poor, a fair share of
ice-time and training. Most of
the boys have come up through
the WEE-Wee, Squirt and
Pee-Wee divisions.
Games are played each
Tuesday evening between 6 and
8 p.m., and the schedule
commenced on November 2nd.
After three evenings (six games)
the standings are:
