The groom is the ton of Mr. and Mrs..Thomas L. Scott of Cromarty and the bride is the daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Percy Wright of Kippen, The church was decorated with bronze and yellow mums as Rev. Paul Packman officiated,. Music was by Mrs. Malcolm Dougal Exeter, at the organ with Eric Rose of London singing the solos. The bride, given in Marriage by her father, wore a traditional gown of white satin trimmed with tiny covered buttons, lace and velvet. The gown had a butterfly train and floor-length veil held With a cornet of white roses.She carried yellow and bronze mans. The bridesmaids carried a casual hand bouquet of white mums with variegated carnations and streamers. The bride's mother wore a blush pink peau d'ange silk ensemble, the neckline of the dress overlaying the coat in dainty matched pearl beading. She chose ivory accessories and carried a corsage of pink miniature roses pinned to a small beaded purse. The mother of the groom wore a mint green silk peau d'ange ensemble daintily trimmed with matching beading at the neckline and as trim on the sleeve edge of the coat. She chose her accessories in an ivory shade also and wore a corsage of crimson and pink roses. For a wedding trip to the Maritimes and Eastern States, the bride's going away outfit was an outdoor costume of navy worsted fabric with large revers trimmed in off-white. The matching off-Nhite dress was in simple skimmer design with navy accessories and a corsage of red feathered carnations. The young couple will reside in Kitchener, Ont. Prior to her marriage, the bride was honoured at a miscellaneous shower given at the home of the groom's aunt, Mrs. H. Sturdy of Goderich, and co-hostesses were Mrs. Ross Sturdy of Hamilton and Mrs. S. Knipe, St. Thomas. She also received a presentation from the Premier Trust Company, London, where she Was employed and a personal shower was held at the home of Mrs. D. Strupat, London. Miss Patricia Semple entertained at another shower and was co-hosted by Miss Bonnie Cox, Toronto. RIGHT was Miss Julie Wright, Kippen, sister of ,the bride. They wore identical gold crepe gowns with autumn colours and flowered overskirts of chiffon, They denied little wicker baskets of gold and bronze strawfloWers With golden satin streamers. Groomsman Was James Cooper of Blenheim and ushers were Larry Wright, Kippen, brother of the bride and Alec Scott, Guelph, brother of the groom. Ringbearer Was Douglas Taylor, Harriston. Following the ceremony, a dinner and reception were held at the Exeter Legion Halt at which the bride's mother received guests, wearing an orange ice crepe dress with brown stole and torasage of bronze and white mums and brown accessories. She was assisted by the groom's mother who wore a moss green crepe dress with brown stole and brown accessories and a corsage of yellow and white mums. During the dinner a letter of congratulations was read from the groom's brother, David, in Sarawak, Malaysia. A telegram from friends in British Columbia was also read. Guests attended the wedding from Detroit, Lindsay, Guelph, London, Toronto, Stoner, Brockville, Chatham, Harriston and Vancouver Island, For the wedding trip the bride wore a gold crepe dress trimmed With green with a Matching green coat, brown accessories and a 'corsage of yellow bunts. The couple will live on the groom's farrii at Cromarty. Yellow daisies entwined in white candelabra decorated Varna United Church on Oct. 16, 1971 for the wedding of Lyle Urquhart,' Kenora and Glenda Johnston, Kenora. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Urquhart, Winnipeg, Manitoba and the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Johnston, Varna. Rev. Donald Beck, assisted by Rev. Murdock Morrison, officiated at the ceremony. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor-length gown of imported silk organza with a matching floral headpiece attached to a four-tiered, scalloped edged veil. The gown had an empire waistline, full skirt, high neckline and baby-doll, puffed sleeves. The neck, waistline sleeves and hem were trimmed with satin ribbon entwined with French lace. The skirt extended into a short chapel train. She carried a bouquet of red sweetheart roses. Maid of honour was Miss Marylou Johnston, sister of the bride and bridesmaids were Mrs. Made Brown, Dryden, Ont. and Miss Judy McNally of Kenora. The attendants floor-length dresses were blue floral puckered SY MAUDE HEDDEN KAY — WALKER Reverend Donald Beck officiated at a ceremony in Hensall United Church, Oct. 9, 1971, which united in marriage Bonnie Marie Kay and Grant Edward Walker, Parents of the young couple are Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Kay, London and Mr. and Mrs. George Walker, Hensall. Mrs. John Turkheim, Zurich played the wedding music on the organ and accompanied the soloist, Gary Scholl, London. The bride was excorted down the aisle by her father and wore a gown of white lagoda in empire style with Victorian neclkihe, A-line skirt and Juliette sleeves. It was trimmed with Swiss lace and pearls. The bridal costume was completed by a soft, draping, chapel-length train and a Spanish mantilla, Her bouquet was of yellow roses. Her attendants were Rose Hattot, Nancy Kay, Ruth Everdell, Port Hope and Kathy Munn. They wore dresses of gold net over white peau de sole and carried yellow roses and white carnations. Richard Buchanan was best man while Ralph Logan, Craig Chapman and Murray Walker ushered the guests. After a reception at the Legion Hall, Exeter, the bride donned a gray and white jump suit With matching long -vest and red accessories for a wedding trip to Florida, Mr. and Mrs. Walker are residing at 1136 Adelaide Street, London, TRAQUAlli —SANGSTER Oct. 16 in Cannel Presbyterian Church, Henson, candelabra, and blue, mauve and nylon, trimmed with light green velvet ribbon. They carried baskets of yellow daisies. Groomsman was Dale Urquhart of Williston, North Dakota and ushers were Leslie Brown of Dryden and Donald Henry of Blyth. Organist was Mrs. Bruce Keys of Varna and soloist was Peter Postill who sang The Wedding Prayer, 0, Perfect Love and I Believe. A dinner eas held following the ceremony at Ontario Street United Church, Clinton, followed by a reception in the Legion Hall, Clinton. The bride's mother welcomed guests at the reception, wearing a seafoam green jacket and dress of silk worsted with a corsage of yellow talisman roses. She was assisted by the groom's mother who wore an afternoon pink beaded dress with a corsage of mauve carnations. Guests attended the wedding from Winnipeg and Hartney, Manitoba; Williston, North Dakota; Kenora, Dryden, Newmarket, Thornbury, Toronto, London, St, Thomas, King City, Kitchener. Following the wedding trip to Northern Ontario, the couple will live in Kenora. white chrysanthemums provided the background for the marriage of Linda Carol Sangster to Gerald Douglas Traquair, Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. John Sangster, Howell, and Mr. and Mrs. Murray Traquair, R. R. 2, Kippen. Rev. Wilfred Jarvis officiated while Mrs. M. nougatl supplied traditional wedding music in addition to the theme songs from "Exodus" and "Romeo and Juliet" The bride escorted by her father wore a gown of polyester crepe du theme featuring a daisy-appliqued bodice, A-line skirt and full sleeves. Flowing from a blue waist band the cathedral train displayed a double row of daisies. A blue and white floral headpiece completed the ensemble and she carried a spray of mauve mums and blue and white shasta daisies. Maid of honor for her cousin Monica Peebles, and bridesmaids, Bonnie Sangster, sister of the bride, and Nancy Traquair, sister of the groom, were gowned alike in copen blue polyester crepe creations with white, crocheted lace pilgrim bibs and cuffs. They carried colonial clusters of blue, mauve and white shasta daisies, Best man for his brother was James Traquair Edmonton, while Paul Munn, and Earl McNab acted as ushers. Following the wedding dinner held in the Church parlour an evening reception in the Hensall Community Arena was held with music by the Ken Scott Orchestra. For a wedding trip to Cave City, Kentucky, the bride 'changed to a brown pantsuit with ivory crocheted trine The newlyweds have taken up residence in their new home at R. It. 2, Kippen. Knox Presbyterian Church chapel was the lovely setting with baskets of mauve chrysanthemums and white gladiolii when Marilyn E. Daer exchanged wedding vows with David Brian Wallace of Dorchester before Rev. G. Lockhart Royal. Mr, William Cameron was organist. The bride is the youngest daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Roy Daer, R. R. 1 Auburn and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Squire Wallace of Dorchester. Given in marriage by her father, the bride looked stunning in her floor-length gown of white polyster crepe. The bodice of white, wet-look lace was accented by delicate Swiss guippure lace trim. The full-length fitted sleeves were also trimmed with this lace. The peasant-look style of this wedding gown was accented by the empire waistline and the wet look lace bib front. She carried a bouquet of pink roses and white daisies with trailing blue ribbons. Mrs. Shirley Rolston of Lobo, St. Stephen's Memorial Church, London was the setting for the marriage of Marianne Elizabeth Wolterbeek and Richard A. F'remlin. The ceremony was solemnized by Rev. H. J. E. Webb on Sept, 25, 1971. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Wolterbeek London and the groom's parents Ont. sister of the bride was matron of honour wearing a floor-length gown of royal blue silk velvet with empire waistline and short sleeves. She carried a basket of shasta daisies. The best man was Robert Sutherland of Dorchester and the usher was Mr. Gordon Daer, brother of the bride, Following the ceremony a reception took place in the Auburn Community Memorial hall where the bridal party were assisted in receiving the guests by the bride's mother wearing a dress of purple knit, black accessories and a corsage of miniature varied purple carnations. She was assisted by the groom's mother wearing a gown of figured knit, black accessories and a yellow corsage. For a wedding trip to Niagara Falls, the bride donned a two-toned white and purple dress with black accessories and a corsage of miniature purple chrysanthemums. On their return they will reside in Woodstock. are Mr. and Mrs. Richard gremlin of Clinton. Given in marriage by bet father, the bride chose Miss Nancy Wardrop as maid of honour and Miss Debbie Wolterbeek as attendant. Best man was Rodney Jervis. Guests were ushered by Cal Fremlin. The eouple are residing in Clinton. CHURCH SERVICES Wesley-Willis United Church, Clinton, was the setting for a lovely wedding on Oct. 2, 1971, where Ellen Jean Cole was united in marriage to Kenneth Arthur Colson in a double-ring ceremony performed by Reverend Dr. A. J. Mowatt. The bride is the daughter of Mr, 'and Mrs. Robert W. Cole, RR 3, Clinton, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Colson of Clinton. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an elegantly simple wedding gown styled with lagoda and Venice lace. Matching lace adorned the centre front bodice, lilypoint sleeves and high wedding-band neckline. This topped a formal-length skirt. Back interest was centred on a group of soft gathers falling to a court train. To complete the ensemble, the bride chose a camelot cap and cathedral-length veil with matching venice lace daisies. She carried a cascade bouquet of white daisies and pink sweetheart roses with baby's breath and stephanotis. The bride was attended by her maid of honour, Miss Patricia Semple of London, and bridesmaids, Miss Nancy Colson, Clinton, sister of the groom and Miss Bonnie Cox of Toronto. Groomsman was Robert Campbell of Toronto. Ushers were Murray Cole, Clinton, brother of the bride, and Robert Donald, Midland, Michigan, cousin of the groom. The bride's attendants were gowned alike in blush rose chiffon in Romeo-Juliet design. Filigree rose mesh lace outlined the bodice edged with guipure daisies.
