He is the son of Mrs. Annie Hartman, RR 3, Clinton. * * * Mrs. Margaret Cantelon who will instruct in Bread Dough Artistry and Decorative Tube Painting at classes at the High School in the Night School program, has a display in the window at the Kum-In Restaurant. It sounds quite interesting and if you have been wondering what Bread Dough Artistry is, there's a chance to see. * * * Mrs: Marion Seeley had as guests over the weekend, old friends Mr. and Mrs. Lance Davern of Consecon, Ontario. The September meeting of the Hullett Federation was held in Londesboro. It was decided to give each member from Hullett in the Blyth Feeder Calf Club $100 if they showed their calf in the showmanship class. She now has a second Canadian Champion, an Irish Setter, "Shillalah's Mollie O'Shea. Mollie was shown in Toronto at a two-day show recently where she was judged Winners' Female—best female on the two days—and Best of Winners which means she topped males as well as females. This gave her six points to add to five points sb had already garnered in other showings. Ten points are needed for a Canadian Champion. Congratulations Florence and Mollie. * * * We've been asked to tell the members of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legicdn that because of the Thanksgiving holiday, their meeting will be on Tuesday, October 12 not on Monday, October 11. * * * Fall is really here with beautiful trees and falling leaves which • eventually lead to bonfires and smoke and children. Do be careful that children don't get too close to fires—it is difficult to keep them right away sometimes, Motorists please keep an alert watch for youngseres when you have to drive through the smoke of burning leaves. On Oct. 11 at 9:00 p.m. in Londesboro a meeting will be held with a speaker explaining the larger toll free area. Plans were discussed concerning an annual meeting on Nov. 8.
