The Executive of the Auburn
Horticultural Society held a
meeting at the Town hall to plan
for it's October meeting. It is
planned to again give hyacinth
bulbs to each member as a
premium for indoor planting.
The minutes of the previous
meeting were accepted as read
by the secretary, Mrs. Beth
Lansing. The financial statement
was given by Mrs. Eleanor
Bradnock. It is planned to have a
display of fall flowers by the
Members and Mr. and Mrs.
Donald Haines will show
pictures of their month's trip to
the West Coast. The program
will be in charge of Mrs. James
Jackson and Mrs. Kenneth Scott.
Molan, Paul, Mark, and Margie
of Oakville spent the holiday
weekend with Mrs. W. L. Whyte,
Tom, Bill and Mr. Harold Whyte.
Mr. and Mrs. Andy
Thompson of Ottawa spent the
holiday weekend with his
parents Mr. and Mrs. John
Thompson Betty, Jim, Sharon
and Bob and friends. They all
spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs,
Terrence Hunter of Colborne
Township for a family picnic.

being visited by her aunt from
Germany, who will be with them
for an extended visit this fall.
Miss Betty Thompson started
school on Tuesday in Toronto at
the Canadian Mother Craft
College. We would like to wish
her much success in the year
ahead.
