Funeral arrangements for Mrs. MacDonald were under the direction of the Ball Funeral Home. She was born on September 11, 1886 at Brucefield. Interment was at Baird's Cemetery, Pallbearers were Jack Davidson, Seldon Ross, Jack Mustard, Harry Woolley, Mac Wilson and Ken McCowan. The late Mrs, MacDonald is survived by a brother James, a sister Emma and a nephew Jack of Ottawa as well as three great grand children. A number of persons travelled some distance to attend ' the funeral services among them were Mr. and Mrs. Doug MacDonald of Sarnia, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ross of St. Clair Shores Michigan; Mr. and Mrs. W.T. Calivill of London, Mr, and Mrs. Scott Davidson of New Hamburg, Mrs. Ivan Wightman of Belgtave, Mrs. Jean Cairns of Seaforth, Mrs. T. Dutat of Essex, MrS. Dorothy McGregor of Egmondville and Mr. and Mrs, Edgar Allan of Seaford'. \a. Hospital Aux, gives annual bursaries For the first time this year the Women's Auxiliary to the Clinton Public Hospital awarded three bursaries in place of the usual one which had been the practice in the past. Mrs. W. T. 'Jarrett announced at the auxiliary's September meeting that bursaries were being awarded to Miss Connie Harris a It, R. 3, Clinton, to study for her R.N. at the St. Clair Regional School of Nursing in Sarnia; Miss Kay Stevens, 'formerly of 204 Spencer Street in Clinton, to study for her R.N. at the Kitchener-Waterloo School of Nursing; and Miss Sandra Wise of R. R. 2, Clinton, to study for her R.N.A. at the Ontario Department of Health, Nursing Assistant Centre in London, Mrs. L, P. Walden, president of the group, welcomed the members to the meeting and heard the committee reports. The Catholic Women's League will manage the Travelling Cart during September and Mrs. Howard Porter is in charge of keeping the cart stocked with supplies, Mrs. Harrett gave her committee report on the progress of the forthcoming annual Penny Sale. The Fall Conference is being held in Guelph on Monday, September 27, with the luncheon speaker being Dr, Margaret Stichney of Fergus. Six persons will participate in a symposium on 'Care of Long Term Patients" Any auxiliary members wishing to attend, please contact Mrs. L. P. Walden. At the conference an invitation is to be issued by the Clinton Auxiliary to hold the Fall Conference of District Two in September 1972 locally. The auxiliary voted to re-subscribe to National Geographic magazine for the waiting room, Mrs. Ed Wilson was named "Key Woman" to be in communication with the Stratford Regional School of Nursing and have our auxiliary participate in activities when requested. Mrs. Doug Bartliff is arranging a tour of the hospital for kindergarten children from the local schools. "It is gratifying to see the patients enjoying the comfortable solarium," the group was told, "and everyone who contributed to its building and decoration can feet justly proud." at the Clinton Public Hospital where he succumbed to cancer. Services were conducted from the Beattie Funeral Home, with interment at Clinton Cemetery. Born on August 14, 1881 to the late Mr. and Mrs. William Mulholland at Clinton Mr. Mulholland had lived in this region for more than 50 years, as well as living for periods of time • in Winnipeg and Detroit, He had been employed as an engineer in the textile industry. Mr. Mulholland was a member of the Wesley Willis United Church in Clinton and a 40 year' member of the Odd Fellows. Pallbearers at the funeral were Wilfred Parker, Norman Tyndall, Robert Carter, William Batkin, Harold Glew, and Wilfred Jeruis. Flowerbearers were Ronald and Gerald MULHOLLand, James Brown and Bill 13ryden. He is survived by his wife the former Maud Cantelon whom he married in 1902 (they had just celebrated their 69 wedding anniversery) and son Howard of Crystal Beach and Daughter Muriel (Mrs. Russel Beyers) of Clinton. He is also survived by four grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. ROBERT BAKER SR. Funeral services were conducted today from the Bonthron Funeral Home in Hensel for the late Robert Baker Sr. Who died in his 85 year on Tuesday at Huronview in Clinton, He is survived by sons Glen of London, Austin of Stratford, TTc'ra a BY FREE MccLYMONT Rally Day and Promotion Service was held in the United Church last Sunday with Rev. Primary were Jeff Chuter, George Wilson, and Adam Wilson, From Primary to Junior were Paul Consitt, Bonnie Dowson, Mark Taylor and Scott Consitt. From Junior to Intermediate were Cathy Taylor, Ralph Elliott and Bev. Cantelon. Robert Raikes Diplomas were given to Jacque Taylor, Lori Consitt and Luanne Taylor. Second year seal - Bev. Cantelon. Fourth year seal - Mark Taylor and Stephen Elliott. Fifth year seal - Janis Webster, Bonnie Dowson and Brenda Dowson. Six year seal - Scott Consitt, Paul Consitt and Sandra Webster. Eighth year diploma - Rob Roy Elliott and Ralph Elliott. Nineth year diploma - Cathy Taylor. Anniversary Services will be held next Sunday, September 19, in the United Church, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev, Alfred Fry of Auburn as special minister. There will be special music by the choir with Mrs. Doug McAsh as leader and organist. Meade of Winthrope, Bruce of Kingston, Robert Jr., John, Bill and Murray all of Hensall. Also daughters Mrs. Adam (Wanda) Wilson of Brucefield, Mrs, Alphonse (Beatrice) Grenier of Dashwood, Mrs. William (Clara) Brown of Egmondville Mrs, Bruce (Irene) Tyndall of Clinton, Mrs. Grant (Gladys) McGregor of Kippen, He is also survived by 23 great grand children.
