Clinton was decorated with
baskets of white cosmos and
pink carnations on Friday July 9
for the evening wedding of
William Clarence Hoggarth and
Lia Maria Wammes.
The groom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Glen Price, RR 2,
Clinton and the bride, the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adrian
Wammes, RR 3, Clinton.
Rev. H.W. Wonfor officiated
at the double-ring ceremony.
Organist was Lorne H. Dotterer
and soloist, Mrs. Fred McGregor
who sang 0 Perfect Love and the
Lord's Prayer.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore a corded
taffeta dress. Spanish lace circled
the collar, cuffs and chapel train
which fell from the neck, She
wore a chapel-Iength veil
fastened with a tiara. She carried
a white Bible with red
sweetheart roses and white
stephanotis strewn with white
streamers.
Maid of honour was Miss
Sandra Buruma of RR 2, Clinton
who wore a full-length blue
sheer voile gown, styled with
empire bus thee and low neck.
The midriff had white lacing and
the long skirt had a, frill at the
bottom. She carried white shasta
daisies and pink carnations.
Bridesmaids were Elle
Wammes and Heather Price,
both dressed identically to the
maid of honour.
Groomsman was Len Wilson
of London and ushers were
Arnold Crich of Clinton and
Harold Jantzi of Holmesville.
Following the ceremony, a
reception was held at the
Clinton Legion Hall where the
bride's mother received guests.
She wore a pink, lace
princess-line dress with V-neck
and flat collar and full-length,
pleated sleeves. Her corsage was
of red' sweetheart 'roses and
white carnations.
She was assisted by the
groom's mother who wore a
sheer blue, printed patterned
dress with long, sheer sleeves.
She wore a white corsage.
For the wedding trip to
Northern Ontario the bride wore
a pink lace hot pants suit and
white accessories.
The couple will live at RR 3,
Clinton.
Guests attended the wedding
from Espanola, Barrie, South
Porcupine, Blenheim, London,
Ottawa, Seaforth, Bothwell and
Holland.
Prior to her wedding, the
bride was guest of honour at
showers given by Miss Elle
Wammes and Miss Carol Steepe,
Miss Sandy Buruma, Mrs. Dianne
Mallough and Mrs. Arnold Crich
and Mrs, Linda Wilson.

Pink cornflower and white
starburst daisies in brass
candelabra formed the setting
for the wedding on Saturday,
July 31, of Barbara Wasson and
Terry Richmond in Blyth United
Church.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. George Wasson, R.
R. 3, Walton, and the groom is
the son of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Mervin Richmond. The Rev.
Cecil Wittich officiated at the
ceremony. Mrs. Margaret Kai
was organist and accompanied
the soloist, Mrs. Barbara
Bosman, who sang "Chapel of
Love", "Wedding Prayer" and
"More".
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore a white,
A-line, floor-length gown of
charmaine polyester. The bodice
was of imported Holland lace
over polyester. The fitted sleeves
and collar were of lace and were
finished with scalloped edging.
She wore her grandmother's
locket containing pictures of her
great-grandparents.
The nylon veil was held in
place by a small cluster of pink
roses and fell into a long train.
The train was accented by lace
matching the bodice of the
dress. The bride's grandmother,
Mrs. E. Storey, appliqued the
lace on the train, and the bride
fashioned the dress and veil, She
carried a bouquet of white
stephanotis and pink roses.
Miss Clara Wasson, sister of
the bride, was maid of honour.
She wore a hot pink,
floor-length gown of patterned
sheer over pink polyester crepe.
The sheer formed a short train
falling from the empire waist.
The dress was trimmed with
white lace roses.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Diane
Wasson, sister-in-law of the
bride; Mrs. Arlene Falconer,
Mr. and Mrs. George
lieltbohmer, Heidi, Janice and
Krista of Chatham, New
Brunswick, have been holidaying
for several weeks with George's
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Philip
Heitbohmer, and have occupied
one of their Lane '0 Pines
cottages.
Judge James E. Brown and
Mrs. Brown of Brantford spent
Sunday with Mr. and Mrs.
Stewart Middleton and also
called on Dr. and Mrs. 11,. G.
Hunter of Bayfield,
Mr. and Mrs. Gibbon of
Woodbridge, who have been the
guests of Mr. and Mrs, Don
sister of the groom; and Mrs.
Bev. Snell, friend of the bride.
They wore identicaIly-styled
dresses to the maid of honour's,
but in unpatterned pink sheer
over pink polyester crepe. They
were trimmed with white lace
centred with pink roses.
The flower girls were Misses
Valerie and Shelley Wasson,
nieces of the bride. Their dresses
were similarly styled and of
identical material to the maid of
honour's. The dresses were
fashioned by the bride and her
attendants. All carried
fan-shaped bouquets of pink
carnations and white starburst
daisies with matching flowers in
their hair.
Best man was Ross Scott,
Tillsonburg, brother-in-law of
the groom. Ushers were Ronald
Falconer, Goderich,
brother-in-law of the groom;
Albert Wasson, Blyth, brother of
the bride; and Cliff Snell, friend
of the groom,
The bride's mother received
the guests wearing a violet crepe
dress with silver metallic trim,
white accessories, and a pale
yellow rose corsage. She was
assisted by the groom's sister,
Mrs. Donna Delaere, wearing a
figured crepe pant suit, white
accessories, and a white corsage.
Also assisting was Mrs. June
Scott, sister of the groom.
The bride chose a purple and
white hot pant suit and white
accessories for travelling.
The photographer was Mr.
Cecil Mines, Niagara Fails, N.Y.,
uncle of the groom.
Guests were present from
Aylmer, Belgrave, Brussels,
Blyth, Clinton, Don Mills,
Dorchester, Goderich, London,
Niagara Falls, N.Y., Oakville,
Princeton, Seaforth, St. Marys,
Stratford, Tillsonburg, Walton,
Wingham and Wroxeter.
Middleton and family, returned
home on Sunday with his sister,
Charmaine. They were
accompanied by Mr. Paul
lvliddleton.
On Sunday, August 29, the
Rev. B. J. B. Harrison will
preach his farewell sermon,
culminating a long and devoted
ministry in the Bayfield—
Middleton parish. There will also
be a special memorial dedication
at this soon,
Mrs. Fred Middleton has been
holidaying at the summer home
of Dr. and Mrs. Grindley of
Bayfield.
North Street United Church,
Goderich, was decorated with
pink and white gladioli with
shasta daisies and candelabra lit
by Kerry Willows, cousin of the
bride and Gary Tebbutt, brother
of the bride, on Saturday, July
31, when Patricia Anne Tebbutt
and Paul Edward Dockstader
exchanged vows and rings before
Rev, A. Mowatt.
The bride is the only
daughter of Mr, and Mrs. John
Tebbutt, Clinton, and the groom
is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Wilfred Dockgtater, Goderich.
Mrs, Hetherington, organist,
accompanied the sister of the
groom, Mrs. Fred Bertelmann,
Ottawa, who sang "The Lord's
Prayer" and "Wedding Prayer".
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a
floor-length gown of fine
polyester crepe with Victorian
collar and see-through lace
sleeves. The gown was trimmed
with guipure lace on the front of
the A-line skirt and followed the
edge of the built in cathedral
train. Her waist-length veil was
held by a floral cluster, She
carried one white garnaelis with
lime green streamers.
Matron of honour, Miss Pat
Ladd, Goderich, wore a
floor-length printed peasant dress
of lime green and white voile,
She wore a white floppy brim
picture hat and a matching green
choker. She carried one white
garnaelia with white streamers.
The bridesmaids, Mrs. Paul
Baechler, Goderich, aunt of the
bride; Miss Marilyn Tebbutt,
London, aunt of the bride; and
Mrs. Blair Bender, BayReld, were

all dressed identically to the
matron of honor.
The f I ow ergirls, Wendy
Tebbut, St. Catharines and Lisa
Baechler, Goderich, both cousins
of the bride, were dressed the
same as the bridesmaids, but
carried tiny nosegays.
James Morris, Goderich, was
the best man and guests were
ushered by Bob Dockstader,
Oshawa, brother of the groom,
Ken Hunter, Collingwood and
Wayne Tebbutt, Clinton, brother
of the bride.
The reception and dance
followed at the Saltford Valley
Hall, Saltford. The bride's _
mother wore a jaaet dress —
ensemble of pink polyester
crepe, with white accessories.
Her corsage was of pink
carnations. The groom's mother
wore a jacket dress ensemble of
pastel green nylon triacetate,
with white accessories. Her
corsage was of yellow
carnations.
For travelling to Muskoka,
the bride chose a long-sleeve,
floor-length,, nittlticolour
peasant dress with a corsage of
yellow roses,
Prior to her marriage the
bride was feted with showers
given by Mrs, Joe Craig, Miss
Karen Oakes, Mrs. Paul Baechler,
Mrs. Bill Lobb and Miss Pat
Ladd.
A trousseau tea was given by
Mrs. Tebbutt for her daughter.
Following the wedding rehearsal
the wedding party was
entertained by the groom's
parents.
The couple will reside in
Toronto.
