Kim and Greg Riley of Winthrop spent the weekend with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Riley. Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Nolan and boys of Toronto spent the holiday weekend at their summer home in the village. Mrs. Irene Grimoldby is visiting with Mr. and Mrs. John Mann of Clinton. Mrs. Bob Storey and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Riley attended the Stoll—Riley wedding in Londesboro on Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Livingston have arrived home from a two week tour of the Maritime ProvinteV4s' NiVriolirtitt Mrs It' Jo lin ' Thoinpton,' Sharon and Bob spent the holiday weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Bob Reynolds and family of Southfield, Michigan. Sharon remained for holidays at the Reynold's home and Bob Reynolds returned to spend the next' two weeks with the Thompsons. Tom Whyte and Bob Storey spent the weekend in Montreal and attended the Expo baseball game. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Preszcator, Billy and Debbie spent the weekend camping at Elliott Pine Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Buchanan and family visited on Sunday evening with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Hart, of Brussels. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Storey attended the Wasson—Richmond Wedding in the Blyth United church on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Vander Motan, Paul, Mark and Margie of Oakville spent the holiday weekend with Mrs. W. L. Whyte and Bill and Mr. Harold Whyte. Mr. and Mrs. 'Frank Riley Visited on Sunday with friends in Goderich. Mr, and Mrs. Ross Anderson and .family of Bornholm visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Buchanan and family. We would like to welcome Mr, and Mm. Jim Thompson and Ricki to the community, to their farm east of the village from Goderich. Mrs. Dianne Dickson and Wendy of Sault Ste. Marie spent the holiday weekend with Mrs. Bob Storey and Alvin. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Preszcator, Dianne and Nancy, Mr. and Mrs. David Preszcator, Christine, Lisa and Christopher visited on Sunday with Mrs. Lawrence Hill of Creditors. Mr, and Mr& Nelson McClure and Mrs. Ella Jewitt attended the funeral of the late Ian Stewart Heamen in London on Tuesday. Kim Riehl of Huron Park is spending her holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Ben Riley and family. Sandra Riley is spending her holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Riehl, Jackie and Shelley of Huron Park, Mrs. Elina Jewitt, Mrs. Annie Leitch and Mrs. Gary Dewitt spent the holiday Monday with Mr, and Mrs, Ralph Glew 'of Dorchester. Club family picnic held last Thursday evening at the Benmiller Falls Park, A short business meeting was held following the supper and items of business were discussed. The Auburn librarian requests all county library books to be in August 7. William Wood returned recently from a trip with his son, James H. Wood, of Montreal, to Timmins and down through Michigan. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Armstrong arrived home last weekend from their honeymoon and have taken up residence on their farm at R. R. 2, Auburn. Miss Gail Miller of Toronto spent the holiday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Miller. An invitation to attend the August meeting, of the Auburn Women's Institute was accepted. Everyone took part in the contests, races and sports in the charge of Mrs. Walter Cunningham, Mrs, Garth McClinchev and Mrs, Lloyd IVIcelinchey. Miss Brenda Archambault of Toronto is visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Len Archambault, and family for a week. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Christie of Melbourne, Australia, are visiting with Mrs. Ralph Munro. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Finnigan of Goderich were guests on Saturday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Phillips. Mrs. Louis Wagner and her daughter, Mrs. George Kailas, Kelly and Kim of Masselon, Ohio, visited with relatives, Misses Ella and Minnie Wagner, J. H. LESLIE SCHULTZ Funeral service was held on Monday, August 2, for J. H. Leslie Schultz, who passed away suddenly at his home in Dungannon, July 31. Born on June 22, 1901, in Auburn, he was the son of the late John Schultz and Barbara Youngblut. He lived in Colborne Township and attended S.S. No. 5, Hullett. He was a blacksmith in Dungannon for 48 years. He was married in 1927 in Auburn to the former Mary Hardy, who survives him. He was a member of the Dungannon United Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Gordon, Winners were: Lucky candy scramble, Angie Hutchins; 5 and under, Darlene flunking, Tasha and Rodger. Miss Jennifer Grange returned last week from a visit in Ottawa and left this week for a position in London. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Johnston of London and Mr. and Mrs. George Robb of London visited on Saturday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Sanderson. and three grandchildren, also two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Fielder of Ashfield Township and Mrs. Selina Meehan of Blyth, and four brothers, Dalton of Whitechurch, Reg of East Wawanosh, Carman of Blyth and Elmer of Colborne Township. Rev. Stanley MacDonald of Londesboro conducted the service, and burial took place in Dungannon Cemetery. Pallbearers were Gordon Anderson, Gordon Smith, Thomas Webster, William Stothers, Goldie Carter and Alvin Sherwood. Over 30 persons were present. Cards were played followed by several contests; guessing beans in a jar was won by Gladys Armstrong; naming articles on a tray, Cathy Husking and Trie Duizer tied; guessing contents of a parcel, Ida Durnin; drawing a picture blind folded, Robert Watson; throwing a cup of water, Jack Armstrong; spot on lawn, Trie Duizer. Ena Howatt spoke a few words and Ida Durnin presented Mabel Scott with a gift from her friends. Mabel is leaving the community to live with her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Allister Broadfoot, R. R. 3, Seaforth. Mabel thanked all and hoped to be back with us as often as possible. Ail sat down to a lovely lunch. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Radford returned to their home in Niagara Falls after spending past week with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Radford and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Art flunking of Exeter spent Monday with Mr, and Mrs. Tom Duizer, Mr, and Mrs. Ross Nilson and children of Woodstock visited on Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. Shobbrook, Muriel and children stayed for the week. Mr. and Mrs, Jack Lee returned Saturday evening from a two-week trip to Eastern coast.
