HABKIRK - Passed away at
Owen Sound, Ontario, on
Sunday, July 25, 1971, Albert
Bond Habkirk of Mea ford,
formerly of Clinton, Ontario, in
his 77th year, husband of the
late Bella Hunter and dear father
of Gladys and Lois, Roy and
Ross, ail at home, and brother of
Arthur of Mississauga. Funeral
Service was held at Ball Funeral
Home, Wednesday, July 28,
1971, at 2 p.m., with interment
in Clinton Cemetery.
COOPER. -- John George Cooper
of Brandon, Manitoba died on
July 18, 1,671., He Was 88 years
of age. Mr. Cooper was born in
Goderich Township, the son of
Mr. and Mrs. George A. Cooper.
He was married to. -Jean Murray,
November 1-3, 1923, and the
couple lived in Brandon,
Manitoba all their married life.
Surviving, besides his wife, is orie
sister, {Annie), Mrs. Albert
Bond, Clinton, and three
brothers, Dr. Bert Cooper,
Toronto, Charlie, Midland, and
Earl, Goderich.

The United Church Vacation
Bible School opened Monday
morning of this week with the
pastor Rev. Murdock Morrison
in charge.
Mr. Craig Taylor was able to
return home from the hospital
last week.
A reception for the
newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Mac.
Webster, was held in Zurich last
Saturday evening.
The United Church Women
are holding a "Bake Sale" in the
Orange Hall in Bayfield on
Saturday, August 7.
Mrs. John Ostrom returned
home last Friday after a stay in
Victoria Hospital, London.
Mr, and Mrs. Fred
McClymont spent several days
last week with Mr. and Mrs. Bob
McClymont and family at
Guelph.
The Service next Sunday in
the United Church will be in
charge of Mr. Bruce Elliott.

Hindmarsh took us on a hike
through the woods. He had two
ponds with fish in them and
every fish had a name.
He then took us to his log
cabin village and down to the
beach where we found drift
wood, In the bush we gathered
natural dryed materials for our
exhibits in the August flower
show and the first and second
prize exhibits from it will go to
the Royal Winter Fair in
Toronto to be judged there.
From the beach we went to
the home of Mrs. Barnett and
saw her lovely rose gardens. We
had supper there, then had a
short meeting. After a hike to
the Guide Camp we came home.
There were 20 children including
some guests from California.
