The Clinton Horticultural
Society garden tour and picnic
supper held Saturday, July 24,
was a decided success.
Nine gardens were visited
and, as one tourist stated,
`There was something lovely
and of special interest in every
garden."
"1 had no idea there were so
many beautiful gardens here in
Clinton," came from a life-long
resident.
Under the presidency of Mrs.
Don Pullen, and with the

featured here and 70 persons in
all drove to the park and lake on
the farm for a picnic supper. The

and many bales of hay in the
park provided a rustic setting
and also additional tables and
seats. The smorgasbord table was
centred with a gorgeous bouquet
provided by Mrs. Epps. A. huge
lime green salad molded in the
shape of a butterfly with a red
rose in his teeth was a gourmet
