Jeffrey Whyte, Paul and Mark Van der Molan returned to their homes after spending the past week at the Whyte home. Mr. and Mrs. Marris Bos and Mr. and Mrs. John Wammes, John and Mary attended the Hoggarth-Wammes wedding in Clinton on Friday evening. Mr, and Mrs. John Thompson, Jim, Sharon and Bob, Mrs. Breitbarth and Karen visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Terrence Hunter of Colborne Township. Mrs. Bill Dowson of Varna, Mrs. Nelson McClure, Mrs. Ella Jewitt and Mrs. Jim Preszcator attended the shower for Margaret Stewart held at the home of Mrs. Murray Adams at Londesboro on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Hudson Woodruff of St. Davids were Saturday visitors with Mrs. W. L. Whyte Tom and Bill, Mr. Harold Whyte. The financial statement was given by the treasurer, Mrs. Eleanor Bradnock. Plans were made to hold a meeting near the end of August when it is hoped Mrs, William Klie of Hanover, the district president, will be the guest speaker. Mrs. Thomas Haggitt and Mrs. Elmer Trommer will be in charge of the program. The bake table will be in the charge of Mrs. Robert Turner, .Mrs. Brian Hallam, Mrs. Ross Robinson and Mrs. Dorothy Grange; White Elephant table, Mrs. Thomas Lawlor, Mrs, Elmer Trommer, Mrs. Frank Raithby 'and Mrs. Torrance Tabb. There is to be flower arrangements brought by the members and these will be arranged by Mrs. Ralph Munro, Mrs. Robert Phillips, Mrs, William Straughan and Mrs. Ed Davies. Mrs. Eleanor Bradnock was in charge of the program which began with the call to worship. The devotional period was in the charge of Mrs. Frank Raithby. The scripture lesson was read by Mrs, William Clark. Meditation theme was "Harvest — period of Gladness" given by Mrs. Frank Raithby. The roll call was answered by each quoting a Bible verse containing the word 'love'. The offering was received and dedicated with prayer by Mrs. Raithby.
