I wish to announce that I have taken over the
operation of the Bernard Hall Insurance Agency —
Blyth.
My new office in Blyth is located on Queen Street
(No. 4 Hwy.), across and just South of the George
Radford Construction offices, post office box 69,
telephone 523-9648.
The Blyth office will be open on Tuesdays and
Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on
Saturday mornings from 9:30 to 12:30 p.m.
On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, I can be
reached in Clinton, 80 Joseph Street, — Box 763,
telephone 482-9678.
I am pleased to welcome my new customers in the

On this trip back home to

Bellchamber have attended the
graduation of youngest son Neil
at the University of Western
Ontario, visited with Mr. and
Mrs, Nigel Bellchamber and son
Jason of London and spent
several days with son, Brian

They will return to Naussau
next week.
Mrs. Bob Turner has returned
from hsopital, where she
underwent surgery, and is
recuperating at home.
Miss Kathy Wild of Clinton
was guest of honour at a shower
held at the home of Mrs. Lloyd
Westlake on May 15. Forty
guests honoured Kathy prior to
her marriage to Terry
McClinchey on May 22.

A pretty spring wedding took
place at Hensall United Church
on Saturday May 1 at 3:30 when
Rev. Harold F. Currie united in
marriage Eleanor Isabel
McKenzie and Alvin Lloyd Filby
of R.R.2 Kent Bridge. The bride
is the daughter of the late Mr.
and Mrs.,, Peter McKenzie of
Kippen.
For her wedding, the bride
chose a blue crepe dress with
lace sleeves and a A—line skirt
and she carried a white Bible
crested with pink sweet heart
roses. The bride was attended by
her sister Mrs. Harold Cudmore,
R. R. 1 Hensel', who wore a
cream crimplene dress. The
groom was attended by his
brother-in-law, Harold Cudmore.
The wedding dinner was held at
the Dufferin Hotel, Centralia.

Francis and Gordon Westlake
returned on Sunday from a
fishing trip in the north country
to a place called Meteor Lake.
They tell me that they caught
all the lake trout and pickerel
they wanted to eat and had a
real good time.
Reg spent the last afternoon
filling a stringer with fish to
bring home to Bert Dunn but
Gordon Westlake while washing
the fish off lost the whole works
in the lake — so no fish for Bert.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert

Kim and Joe visited Mr. and Mrs.
Eric Earl on Sunday. A birthday
party was held for Mrs.
Stevenson (Mary Louise) and we

Clinton Women's Institute
met on May 27 in the
Agriculture Board Rooms. The
new president Mrs. Amber
Popp chaired the meeting. The
reports were given and general
business transacted. Ten dollars
is to be given to the A.C.W.W.
project, "Pennies for
Friendship". The District
Annual was held in Londesboro
on May 31. Delegates were Mrs.
Popp, Mrs. C. Holland, Mrs. C.
Elliott, and Mrs. R. Colclough.
It was moved that tea fees be
set at 25 cents and that raffles
be cut out at each meeting.
Christmas exchange gifts are to
be valued at one dollar. A
,s:decision was-madesthat there be
no ways and means committee
this year. Members to bring new
ideas or money making projects
to the meetings.
A letter is to be written to
town council asking that laws
that have been passed be carried
out. Such as dogs running at
large and the town curfew.
Reports of the Officers
Conference held in Guelph on
April 28 and 29 was given by
Mrs. M. Batkin at which nearly
700 women from all over
Ontario attended.
Mrs. C. Lockhart was program
convener for the day and
introduced the guest speaker Mr.
T. M. Morgan of Victoria and
Grey in Stratford.
He spoke on the making of
Wills and how a will protects.
It was decided to hold the
Annual Women's Institute picnic
in July in the local park.
