Dr, and Mrs. G. H. Sheppard
of Riverside Ontario, were
weekend guests at the Albion
Hotel, They were also dinner

Clinton Hospital to visit Mrs. C.
E. Diehl,
Canon and Mrs, F. H. Paull of

of Windsor spent the weekend
with Mr. Carl B, Diehl. While
here they visited Mrs. Carl Diehl
in Clinton and also Mrs. R. H. F.
Gairdner and Mrs. Errna Durham
in Huronview.
On Saturday the Bayfield
Brownie Pack held their annual
cookie day. Fifteen dozen
packages of cookies were sold.
Thanks should be given to
Mrs. Audrey Mitchell for driving
the girls around the village and
also to Rangers Sharon Bunn,
Faith Renner, Lou Martens and
Darlene Warner who helped to
make Brownie cookie day a
success.
Deanne Garrett's final
Brownie report follows:
Last Tuesday night 14 of the
Bayfield Brownies went to
Goderich to visit a Girl Guide
troop. We were welcomed by the
leader Mrs. Ainslie, then sat
along the sidelines and watched
as they held their regular
meeting. It was badge night and
many of the 30 girls received
badges for different things.
We were shown by Mrs.
Elliott how to waterproof a bed
roll for camping.
We were then asked to join
their campfire and sang many
songs. After that they put on a
skit for us. It was real scary but
we enjoyed it.
After taps we had pink
lemonade and cookies that some
,of the guides had made who
were working on their Bakers
Badge. We all thanked Mrs. Hill
for helping Brown Owl with the
transportation.
TAX TIME
In days of yore when Robin
Hood
Was ruling woods and moor.
We all recall how he would rob
The rich, and feed the poor.
But now-a-days, the government,
Has pulled a lousy switch.
They squeeze the lowly poor
man
To subsidize the rich.
Note: I always feel this way
around income tax time.
Mr. and Mrs. Ken Knights

of their daughter, Krista Luanne.

The Camp and Sport show
which the, Branch sponsored on
April 17 and 18 proved to be a
greater success than was
anticipated. With the volunteer
help and the assistance of the
"Trail Spinners" from CFB
Clinton no one seemed to be
overworked or dissappointed.
The exhibitors all seemed quite
pleased with the crowds and
many have asked to. have space
reserved for next year's show.
The Branch, which ,sponsors
the Girl Guide movement in
Clinton, is extremely satisfied
