Sideroad 20, McKillop Twp., Arthur Murray, RR 1, Dublin And Wilfred Drager, RR 5, Seaforth were involved in a two car accident resulting in damage to both vehicles they were driving, On Sunday, April 11, 1971, on Con, 12 and 13 south of Sideroad 9 and 10, Stanley Twp., Geraldine Martin, RR 3, Bayfield was involved in a single car accident resulting in damage to the vehicle she was driving. On Monday, April 12, 1971, on No. 8 Hwy. east of Clinton S. Lts. (Smith St.) Cale Dougette, RR 4, Clinton and John Valkenburg, 172 Rattenbury Street', Clinton were involved in a car-bicycle accident resulting in damage to . the Valkenburg bicycle. Proceeds for Easter Seal Fund. -16b Attempts to organize a minor league program in basketball in Clinton have met overwhelming response from area youngsters. Organizers of the program, which will start tonight at the gymnasium at Ontario Street United Church, report that over Beavers win crown Seaforth Beavers won the ()HA Intermediate C championship Thursday night defeating Cheltenham 4-3 for a 4-1 win in the best of seven series. The Beavers beet their opponents 10-2 in Seaforth in the previous game last Tuesday with Bill McLaughlin and Bob Beuttenmiller scoring three goals each and Ed Dolmage, Jack Mcllwain, Bill Weber and Jim Sills scoring singles. Ron Enge scored both goals for the Cheltenham Harvesters. On Thursday night Seaforth scored two unanswered goals in the final period to defeat the Harvesters- 4-3 and take the crown. Eddie Dolmage, Beavers' 40-year-old defencetnan scored both third period goals at 9:23 to tie the game and at 18:17 for the winner. Wayne Rau and Bill McLaughlin also scored. Players on the champions were: Coal, Al Carter, James "Newt" Collins; Defence, Don Morton, Jim Dick, Ray Anstett (Manager), Ed Dolmage, Itay Henderson; Forwards, Jim Sills, Bill MeLatighliti, Bob Beuttenmiller (captain), Wayne Ran, Bill Weber. Eeti Doig, Jack MeIlwain (coach), George Reeves, Terry Craig, Art Mutray; Trainers, ittin Driscoll, 13oh Mohtgotnery and Stu McLean, 60 youngsters between the ages of 12 and 14. Rev. H. W. Wonfor was the initiator of the program. His aim was to provide a liesure time activity for the youngsters of the community between the hockey and baseball seasons. Although the program is to be held at the United Church it is completely non- denominational and youngsters from the religious schools as well as ail area rural schools have joined. The organizers picked basketball because of the limited amount of expensive equipment that is needed.
