You never said goodbye to us Perhaps it's, just as well We never could have said goodbye To one we loved so well," Sadly missed by Dad, son Kenneth and Audrey. —12b 4-H Rabbit club offered The South Huron Rabbit Breeders Association held their March meeting on Tuesday, March 16 in Elimville Hall, one week late owing to bad weather. The February meeting had been cancelled for the same reason. The business of the evening began with election of officers. President David Stanley, Vice-president Pat Dickey and Secretary-treasurer Angus Murray were returned to office. George Carpenter was elected as Commercial Representative to replace Bill Dickey who has been elected as a Director of the Canadian Commercial Rabbit Growers Association. Mr. Dickey remains in charge of Meat Marketing for the club and also assumes the duties of Club Librarian. Mrs, Joyce Dickey was elected Press Secretary. Guest speaker was Leonard MacGregor from Clinton, representative of the Department of Agriculture, 4-11 Division. He informed the club of the steps required in starting a 4-H Rabbit Club in this area, stating this would be the first 4-H Rabbit Club in Ontario. The club accepted the challenge unanimously. The club will be open to all interested youth between the ages of 12 and 20 and anyone interested can contact any member of the club. An advisory committee to the 4-H was formed consisting of George Carpenter, Angus Murray, Jim Donaldson, David Stanley and Bill Dickey. Auctioneer for the Dutch auction was Bill Dickey and winner of the prize was Kay Murray. Lunch was served following the meeting. The next meeting will be held in Elimville on April 13. Marjorie Duizer read the scripture, The president read the meditation, The roll call was answered by 17 The and four visitors. The secretary remarked that four members had perfect attendance in 1970, The minutes were read and adopted. A discussion was held on next Sunday's social evening, The ham supper was set for May 19. It was decided to give "Good news to modern man" to the church members married in the church. The next meeting will be April 19 in the church, Program was given by June Fothergill and Betty Hulley on Columbia and British Guinea. Posters and a film illustrated the program. The meeting closed with a hymn. Lunch was served by Betty Millar and Helen Lee. A large number of people enjoyed the community and church social on Sunday evening in the church, different games were played, followed by lunch, served by Aimwell unit. An audience of 75 to 80 was present. The Boy Scouts enjoyed a hike on Saturday to Bandon and surrounding woods under the leadership of Nick Whyte and Ian Hulley. The organist, choir ,leader and men of Londesboro United Church are to be complimented on mens choir, which is a new venture here and much appreciated. Miss Edythe Beacom went to London on Saturday to spend the week with Mr, Ron Neal and Mrs, Laura Lyn. Miss Brenda Livingston of Etobicoke is spending the holidays with her grandmother Mrs. Livingston. Master Danny Lear is a patient in Sick Children's Hospital, London, He was to have surgery on his leg on Tuesday and is to have surgery , on other leg later this week. Mr, Harry Lear and Rev. McDonald visited on Friday evening with Danny. Mrs. Lear returned home with them. Master Douglas Wood of Wingham spent last week and Greg and Brenda Andrews of Toronto this week with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Wood. Visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Durnin on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kerslake of Exeter and Mr. Lorne Durnin and J.D. of Lucknow. Mrs. Joe Marzano, Candace, and Glen of Toronto are spending a couple of weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Caldwell, Allan and Wendy. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Gaunt, Michael and Randy of Hanover spent weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gaunt. Mrs. Glen Robinson and Diana of Prescott are the holiday week with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Emmerson Hesk. Miss Brenda Langille of Terrace Bay is visiting this week with Misses Connie and Joan Howatt.
