Clinton has been a hive of activity for sport this past week. The
annual Bantam tournament is having some great hockey played
especially by clubs like Bowmanville, Whitby, Petrolia and
Stoneybrook. All of these teams will be back next weekend to
compete in the finals. Come out and see some top hockey.
Our boys were knocked out by Hanover 8-6 in a game which
Clinton could have easily won but Hanover turned every defensive
mistake into a goal. After a rest of two games the Fish and Games
played Listowel. St. Mary's are involved in OMHA playoffs, and
couldn't appear. Listowel won the game 3-0.

Several of the Bantams were members of the victorious Public
School Volleyball team which won the Central Huron Volleyball
championships. Congratulations go out to both the boys and the
giils from Clinton for sweeping the championships. I understand
they now advance against the Goderich area schools.

The capacity crowd last Friday afternoon helped the Senior
Redmen down Goderich in the first game of a total points series for
the Huron-Perth' Basketball championships.
On several occasions the locals let down their guard and gave
Goderich good chances to go ahead but the crowd were behind the
boys cheering therm on. Pete Cameron and Gord Lavis impressed nie
With their accurate foul cheating and this turned out to be a big
factor in Clinton's win.

The Pee Wees, Bantams and Midgets will begin their Zone
Playoffs this weekend in away games and will be home next week.
Give them your support.

REPLACEMENT CALVES
NEED THE "BEST" IN
NUTRITION. THE "BEST"
COSTS LESS THAN MILK!
From the fifth day after birth to about 5
weeks of age, a replacement heifer calf will
consume about 25 pounds of the "best" in
calf nutrition , Shur-Gain Milk Replacer,
or 250 lbs. of whole milk.
Multiply 250 lbs. of milk by your price per
pound of milk sold, subtract the cost of
Shur-Gain Milk Replacer. The result is one
good reason why Shur-Gain is the "best"—
cash savings. Another reason is the inclusion
of proper levels of antibiotics to give you
peace of mind.
Two really good reasons to specify "the best"
—Shur-Gain Milk Replacer.
