those who paid their last re

There’s a story about the mau
who had been frequently re-
zminded to do his Christm.as shop
ping in his own town—to patron
ize local merchants. He went to.
the -hospital for an operation and
was asked by the doctor if h<-
preferred gas, chloroform, or .
ether. So indoctrinated had he .
become with the home town
angle that he. automatically re
plied: “Just-give me a local an- .
aesthetic. I believe in patronizing
home industry”.
THE EASY WAY
A. very old judge, known for
the speed with which he disposed
of cases, was asked by a friend

“You never 'listen to the de-
