Miss . Caldwell’s mother is a patient at the Baker Home. Miss Keane had been nursing in Wirigham Hospital. . ' obituary JOHNCAMPBELL PHILLIPS The sympathy ofthiscommun- ity goes out to Mr; and Mrs. Her?, man Phillips and family in the sad dearth of a son andbrother, which occurred in Goderich Hos­ pital on Saturday. J. Q„ as he was fafniliarly known,;was 23 year? of age and was born in Ashfield Township oh April 15th, 1931. He was one of nine children born to Herman Phillips and Nellie Campbell and his death is the first' break in the family circle, J.C. had spent all his young life in the community. He was a quiet, unassuming youth and popular with all who knew him. The funeral service was held at the McLennan - MacKenzie Memorial Chapel on Monday af­ ternoon conducted by Rev. J. R. Dickinson of Blake’s United Church of which he. was; a mem­ ber. Interment was in Greenhill Cemetery. The pallbearers were Herb Curran, Gordon Saunders, George Saunders, Thomas Hal­ lam, Tred“ Hallam and" ^Russell Irvin. ' ' Besides his parents, J.C. is sur­ vived by five brothers and three sisters: Lome and Thomas of Ashfield; Harley, Donald, and .William D. of Colbome Town­ ship; Mrs. Clarence Hardy (Eda), Mrs. Carmen Brindley (Margar­ et) and Mrs. Frank Bear (Kath­ leen), all of Colbome Township.
