TIMBER TIPS
This week’s action saw many
changes in the league standing
as we enter the’ second round of
the schedule, , .
Jack Caesar and Dick. Parks
led the Cubs io a 7 point victory
over last week’s leaders, the
Squirrels. Caesar’s total of 706
and; Park’s 741 were enough to
crush the opposition who seemed
<to lack the punch that had car
ried them to the top of the
league.
Meanwhile the Zebras^ came up
with a 5 point victory over the
Gophers. Pearl Jamieson’s 648
total and Bob Reid’s 618 total
led the Zebra’s attack, While
Marie Greer’s 555 and Anne An-,
derson’s 554 were tops for the
losers.
The Beaver’s lucky night fin
ally rolled around as they down
ed the Chipmunks for 7 points.
Marion McKinnon’s 657 and Marg
Collyer’s -641- totals proved too
much for the Chipmunks. Anna
Johnston’s 558 total was the best
effort the Chipmunks could mus
ter. ' ■ .' /. •
On Thursday night the Wolver
ines moved from a second place
tie. into first place with a seven
point, victory over the. Coons. The
three men bowlers each. rolled
near 600 totals, “Toby” Greer be
ing tops with 629. Gordon Bailey
led the Coons with a 590 total..
The Pole Cats, aided by handi
caps, took 5 points from the Kan
garoo^ after losing all three on
the flat score. Dinny Hamilton
rolled, 737 plus 63 for a total of
