PLAN MEMORIAL ORGAN FOR

The congregation of Nile Un
ited Church is already planning
for the one hundredth anniver
sary of the congregation, al
though the. event will not be
celebrated till October of next
year.
However, as a tribute to the
early members and associates of
the church, it is planned to ded
icate a memorial organ, to their
memory when the church reaches
the century .mark. •
_ former members suggested the
dedication, and a campaign for
funds is being launched by an
energetic committee of which Mr.
Douglas McNeil is treasurer.
Pastor of the Nile charge is
Rev. George Watt of Dungannon.
Detroit and Jackson, Mich.
For a wedding trip to Florida
and the Southern United States,
the bride wore a Dubonnet Wool
suit with black. velvet accessor-:
ies and a corsage of pink mums.
On their return the couple will,
reside, in Ashfield.? /
A distinctive feature of the
"wedding”came as’ the bridal party
left the church, when.little Jane
Schneiker, following an Irish tra
dition, presented the- bride with
a lucky horseshoe sent from Ire
land. . ;
The bride, who came here from
Ireland, has been on the nursing
staff of Alexandra., Marine and
General Hospital in Goderich for
the past year. •

OBITUARY
MRS, M BOWLER
The death occurred in Alex
andra Marine and General Hos
pital, Goderich, of Mrs. Margaret
Bowle.r,. 88,. on Tuesday of last,
week....
Mrs. Bowler was the former
Margaret Kelly of Ashfiqld Twp.,
and lived for many years at.
Kingsbridge; Her husband, Thos.
Bowler, died 30 years ago.
She is survived by one son.
Joseph, of St. Augustine, and one
sister, Mrs. Mary Broderick, of
Detroit:
The remains rested at the
Lodge funeral home until Thurs
day, when Requiem High Mass
was sung at 9 a.m. in St. Peter’s
Church by Rev; Fr. J. P. Glee
son. Interment was in Kings
bridge cemetery.
