McLeod is able to be out again after being confined to his home for a time with a heart condition. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Gaynor, Johnnie and Sharon of Tavistock spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Albert Little. Mrs. Margaret Carruthers, who has been a patient in Wingham Hospital for the past month, was taken to the. home of her son, Elliott, last week. . ’ „ Mrs- fiarry Downs and_daugh±. ter Judy of Cobourg were callers in town last week. A chorus “Jesus Loves Me” was sung by Eliza­ beth and Arleata Pollock, Nancy Scott, Sharon Moffat, Marion and David Wall. The offering was received by Doris Moffat and Audrey Young.'. Colleen Tiffin ■gave the offering prayer. A chorus, “Word Wide Church”, ha Moffat, Audrey Young and Doris Moffat., Mrs'. J. R. Dick- irison acted as chairman. The fol­ lowing numbers were presented: piano solo by Lois Hackett; read­ ing, Mrs. Bert Alton; piano sel­ ection, Mary_Alt‘onj_ readinjgJMrs^ George Alton; comic, number by Wm. Buckingham and commun­ ity singing. Lunch was served. Betty Smyth . and placed before the bride-elect. Gene Smyth assisted in opening the gifts. Eleanor expressed her thanks for the many lovely gifts and all joined in singing “For She’s A Jolly Good Fellow”. The guests then repaired to the. din­ ing room where the ladies served lunch and a pleasant social hour was enjoyed.
