A coronary thrombosis attack,
one Df many he has suffered in
the, past few years, proved fatal
on Wednesday hight, for William
E. Gladstone MacQuaig, Although
his condition has been cause for
concern of late, he was up as
usual the day of his death, and
the fatal seizure qame on after
retiring early that eyenirig; He
passed away shortly before 11
o’clock.. He was 68.
“Dick” or “Gladdy”, two fam
iliar names by which he was
known, was a son of Angus Mac?
Quaig and Effie Nicholson. He
was born in Lucknow on April
16th, 1886 and was a well known
and popular resident of | the vill
age. Gladdy ;Was a veteran of

Ten years ago he suffered his
first heart attack, but eventualiy.
regained a measure of health. For
the past three years, however,

to give up all. work;

Mr. MacQuaig is survived by
his wife, and three daughters,
Mary and Donalda MacQuaig' of “
Toronto ; and Joan MacQuaig of
Wingham;, and by five sisters and
one brother, Sarah and Mary of
Chicago; Cora, / Rebecca and
Agnes of Lucknow and Ewen of
Toledo. He was predeceased by
three brothers arid a sister, Don -
aid, Isabel!, John arid Duncan.
