OBITUARY HATTIE GALLAGHER The death of Miss Hattie Gal- •_..lag-her of Lucknow, occurred in Wingham Hospital on Thursday morning, September 23rd, (She had been afflicted for years with an asthmatic condition. In early April she suffered a hip fracture and had since been hospitalized and in feeble and" failing-health. Miss Gallagher v as 75 years of age. She was a .^daughter of Hepry Francis^ Gallagher and ! • • Julia Pharis, and was born in ___LLucknow - on--August~ -9th— T879; Her father was a former harness ' maker in the village. A few years • after the passing of her parents, Miss Gallagher wenL to Toronto - where she was employed for some * twenty years bbfdre returning to , the home town in 1938, ; . She was a member of the Luck­ now- United Church, and as a young woman • was active in the Epworth League and as a Sun-- day School teacher in the former • Methodist Church. / •. The funeral service ,was held at the McLennan - MacKenzie Memorial Chapel on Saturday af­ ternoon, conducted by Rev. G. A. Meiklejohn. Interment was., in "“““Greenhill Cemetery.
