The lad was-spilled on the sidewalk but not hurt. Not so long ago another sidewalk, riding cyclist crashed into thez side of a Carcoming out of a laneway. MALCOLM BEATON The death pf Mrs. Malcolm Beaton occurred on August 23rd in Goderich Hospital where she had been a patient for almost 5 % years, since suffering a crippling stroke. She was a kindly lady, be­ loved by. her family, and who endeared, herself to the hospital staff during her long and pat­ iently-borne confinement. She was gravely ill for the past month, and in her last hours prayed that God would comg and take' her to her heavenly home. Mrs. Beaton was formerly An­ nie Agnew; daughter Of' David; and Elizabeth Agnew. She was in her 80th year having been born in Birmingham, England, on November 1st, 1874. ; She was married to Malcolm BeatonatLucknowbnMay—19th, 1892, and they farmed west of the Village until March of 1919, when they, moved to the Gar- Hastings picnic competitions. She won second in the jam and jelly were prize contest in which there 34 entries, as well as 3rd for her cake, . / •'.... Interment was in Maitland Bank Cemetery, Sea­ forth, the pallbearers being Wih. Green, Wesley Green; Harry Windsor, Melvin JRaynard, Wat­ son Webster, Cecil Adams. Mts. Beaton is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Pearl Merrill of Detroit and three sons,” Carman andAlva of Detroit and Beverley Beaton of Goderich. Besides her husband Mrs. Bea­ ton was predeceased by two sons, Rpy. in 1937. and Harry ih 1944.
