The meeting of the . South Kim
loss W.M.S. was held at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. MacDon
ald with 23 members and several
visitors; present. Following a
hymn and prayer the scripture
and meditation was taken by. Mrs.
P. Steer based on the. word
“Faith”. Miss Margaret MacDon
ald read a chapter from the study
book. It was agreed to hold a Home helpers meeting at the7
home of Mrs. A.. Hughes on the
evening of July 21st,directors be
ing the hostess, Mrs. A. MacIn
tyre, Mrs; R. MacMillan and Mrs.
W. F. MacDonald. A duet by Ruth
and Phillis Steer was much; en
joyed.. Two chapters^nthqstudy
book, “The Voyage of Discovery”,
was very interesting, being in
thex form of a dialogue. Taking

Collyer, Mrs. H. Lavis, Mrs: S.
Townsend and Miss J. Baulch.
Joyce Baulch then played “The
Holy City”, which was enjoyed
very much. Mrs. D. Graham then
gave us a talk on the life of one
of our rpissionaries, Miss Wil
liamson. Mrs. G. Baulch gave a"
vote of thanks to all who had
taken part and tor the directors.:
Hymn 671 and the mizpah bene
diction ended a very inspiring
meeting. Lunch was served and a
social time was enjoyed.

held op July 5,th at the home of
Erlma Percy. The paeeting open

my garden”, Notes (were given
on “Care of our garden, and <why
cultivate”. The next. meeting on
canning tomatoes will be held at
the home of Dorina Nicholson.

OBITUARY
MRS. MARY MacRAE
.*• Mrs. Mary MacRae passed away
,in Los Angeles at Tier daughter’s
residence on June 21st in her
93rd.. year. She was born on No
vember 12th, 1861,’, daughter of
the late Christy Cameron and
Duncan MacRae of Lochalsh. She
was born on the farm now owned
by Gordon Finlayson. She was
-theTast surviving member, of the
MacRae, family, several sisters Mrs. Mary Simpson of Hensail
and a brother having predeceased visiting with Edna and May
