Phone150 Ontario LUCKNOW SIGNS GR^NT CHISHOLM The Lucknow Intermediate ‘B’ softball team will make its debut ‘‘ under the lights” in the Cal edonian Park next Monday night at 8.30, with Hensall as the op position. For . Lucknow it’s a return to softball after four years in the Fastball Circuit, and with em phasis on youth, plus a few seas oned veterans of diamond wars, it’s a likely looking squad that started serious^ practising this week, . There’s ■ a lot of conjecture as to next Monday’s starting: line-up, but weM lay -money on the line that, the fans will be more th^n pleased with what they see this year—and at least it will be ^a bunch of local kids that are out there for the fun of it. • The big news which broke on Tuesday night is that Lucknow has signed Grant Chisholm, fire ball hurler of Port Albert, and that assures the Legion^ponsored Lucknow team of a pretty classy hurler, with that play-anywhere guy, George Westlake^ as "the ace-, in-the-hole. Could well be that George, will see action behind the plate, where he plugged a last year for the fastbailers. --------0-0-0-------- JUVENILES LOST FIRST GAME TO BELGRAVE 14-9 fl I gap • ' J areLucknow Juveniles, ,who playing ih an intermediate group ing, lostxthe first game of the season 14-9 to Belgrave Inter mediates in the Caledonian Park on Friday night.
