The president, Don Cameron, was in charge of ad ministration, Marvin McDonald,, convener of Faith and Evangel ism; was in charge of, the wor ship service.. Marvin McDonald read1 the «call toi worship and everyone joined ip singing “Faith of our Fathers”. Donnie Gaunt had a prayer. Ken Barbour and Marvin McDonald read an t art icle called? “Meditation, concern ing the Bible”; The' members. different passages in the Bible and Marvin McDonald .asked3 series of questions on the Bible, Don Cameron, Donnie Gaunt and Ken Barbour were the answer ers. There was Bible reading m unison and everyone sang “Son of My Spul”. Isabelle MaqPfoerspn was in charge of recreation, and the meeting closed with prayer by Rev. Watt of Dungannon. The St. Helensj Y.PiU, will hold a 'community night on Sunday, April 18th at 8.00 p.m. There will be an Easter film shown jand everyoneinthecommunity-lsin- vited 'to come to the meeting. Don’t forget the play, “peatfon Dubbs”, which is to be held in St. Helens Community Hall on . April 30th, 1954, /presented by Bayfield YP.U. and sponsored by St. Helens Y,P.U. Eastern Boundary. The Clerk was instructed to . write the County Engineer rcr garding the bridges on-the Co. Highway and the 8th Concession . dvelr the Ackert Municipal drain. The collector was given an ex tension .to May 3rd for, the re turn of the tax toll. The Auditors’ Report of 1953 accounts was .presented, showing a revenue of $93,618.86 ‘ ; and an expenditure of $89,236.12. < with a surplus for the year of $4,412,74. ' The Warble Fly By-law was amended, exempting all calves under 6 months qf age, and alH cows over three years of age, if so desired by the owner, provid/ ed they wore free of grubs, and satisfactory to the wanble fly . inspector. The Engineer’s Reports on the Burt Municipal Drain, and the Nine Mile River Improvement of 1954 were tabled, and the Clerk instructed to notify all parties assessed that the reports would be read at the ToWhship Hall on April 20th, 1954. . Council .adjourned to meet again on Monday, the 3rd day of JMay, 1954.
