of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd MacDoug
all on Sunday. The meeting op
ened by singing hymn 376 fol
lowed by the Lord’s prayer in
unison. Prayers were given by
Betty Hamilton <ancl. Herb Buck
ton. The scripture lesson was read
by Joan Hamilton and Rev. Mr.
Baulch gave ’the meditation. A*
reading, “Pray for the ‘Mission- ’
aries’’ was given by Mrs. Fra^r-
MacKihribn followed by the lan
tern slides, “India Calls” with the
script read by Herb Buckton. Mrs.
Wm; MacDonald then gaye^ .th^
reading “Th'ie supreme question of
Foi*-ign Missions’’. Mack Mab-
Donald favored .with a horn solo •
and gave a reading on “Are Com-1
munists more,zealous than Chris
tians”. Mrs. H, Austin gave a vote
of thanks and the meeting closed
with the mizpah benediction. [

31 lots bring a total of' $10,450
for- an average of $337 compared
with a $325 average at the As
sociation’s first fall sale a year
ago.
Sixteen Huron County breed
ers' consigned animals'in the sale.
George Kennedy had. the top sell-
iriig lot at $540. The cow brought
$375 and her calf $165.
Local buyers included Robert

from the Kennedy herd; Bert Al
ton and Sori, $120 for a 6-months-
old bull from the McClure herd;

FOURTH CONCESSION
Mrs. MacGillivray of Port El
gin visited a few days last week
with Mrs. Geo, Gilchrist. and Mr.
and Mrs. Fred Gilchrist and fam
ily. Mrs. Geo. Gilchrist has been
ill in feed for the past three
