Roy was of a jolly dis­ position which won for him a host of friends. He attended No. 10 School and Wingham High Schpol. He leaves to mourn his loss, his mother iand his wife, both of Toronto. Mr. Art Moore, •Mrs; T. ,H. Moore, Mr. Milan Moore, Mrs. Jack Henderson and Mrs. .Harold Sparling motored, to Toronto last Wednesday. M. Ashton of Luck-! now was $60.30. This being the Christmas meeting the program began with the singing of car­ ols. A table of Christmas table centre decoration was displayed which had been made iby Mrs. T. J. Salkeld of Lucknow. All were very attractive. The con­ veners of standing committees' gave reports. An enjoyable Xmas j program followed: readings, Mrs. I Doii Watson,. Miss May Boyle, ’ Mrs. Jim Smith; piano duet, Edna Boyle and Margaret Malcolm; ; solo, Mrs. Jack Hewitt; piano i numbers, Marjorie Thompson &; June Ackert; recitation, Elaine I Murray; Christmas contests, Mrs. Raynard Ackert. Each member answered the roll call with “What! Christmas decoration is used in 1 our home”. A prettily lighted Christmas tree gave the hall a | very festive appearance and was ! “well laden With a treat for each! child present and a gift *for each ! adult. The meeting closed with j singing The Queen and the grace. Refreshments were served by the j hostesses,-“Mrs. Perry Hodgiris & 1 committee in charge. Tentative Dians were also made for .the 1954 fall bazaar. . Mrs. Harold Halderiby x enter­ tained the' Anglican Evening Guild’ at her home on- Tuesday .; .evening with Mrs. Ronald Thack-i er presiding. The hymn “Away in a Manger” opened the meet­ ing; Mrs. Jack Hewitt read the Christmas sjtory from St. Luke,! chap. 2. Prayers ; followed. Mrs. j Allan Colling read the thought ! for the day & a Christmas poem. The roll call was answered with a scripture verse.
