HELENS By-Law Na. , 1W3 OF THE CORPORATION of. the Township of WEST WAWANOSH A Byrlaw authorizing the bor­ rowing of Nine Thousand Dollars ($9,000.00) upon debentures for 9: grant for the Wingham Public Hospital. ■ WHEREAS it is expedient to borrow for the purpose of grantr Ing theTW ingham Public Hospital for building additions theretoLja sum not “ exceeding Nine Thous­ and Dollars ($9,000,00) upon the credit of the Corporation of the Township of West Wawanosh to. issue debentures therefor bearing, interest at the rate of five (5%) per centum per annum payable annually and to provide for the expenses incidental to the. nego­ tiation and sale of such deben­ tures; . / AND WHEREAS it. is expedient to make the principal of the said I d<ebt re payable in annual instal­ lments. during the period of ten years next after the date of issue of . such debentures of , such amount respectively that, with the interest in respect of the debt, the aggregate amount pay­ able, for principal and interest in each year shall be as nearly as possible the sum namely, $1,165.64; AND WHEREAS it is exped-' Mrs. Gordon wap hostess for the September meetings of the W.M.S. and W.A. on Wednesday afternoon when 21 ladies were present Mrs. W. Miller of Mexico and Mrs. Frank McQuillin of Canada. Miss W. D, Rutherford told of the life of the author, Dr. Moffitt, and read the first j chapter “Following the Sun”. The ■ treasurer reported that $25 had been < sent to ‘ the Presbyteriaii treasurer for the second quarter. Canadian Legion was held in the Auxiliary Rooms on Monday,.September 14. Mrs. P. MacMillan presided. Mrs. Forster, presented the colors with Mrs.. Hall at the piano. Plans were made for a wedding dinner to which the Auxiliary is cater­ ing. Initiation service - was held ■ for M^s. Amanda Hamilton. 23 members were present. A letter of appreciation was received from the Legion Branch ‘ for a. donation of $60.00. A very favorable report on the booth at the Fastball games was received' and-Mrs. Black and Mrs. Wasney arid their, helpers r received a hearty vote of thanks, Mrs. Hall .gave the report of the sewing committee. - Mrs.__Reid—reported—on—The- dances. The next dance is to be iield on Wednesday, September 23rd witli Mel Lavignes orchestra. The regular monthly meetings have been changed back to the original night—the first Tuesday. . Resolutions were read and vot­ ed on for the convention. Mrs. Bob Reid and Mrs. Philip Mac­ Millan are representing the Aux­ iliary at Ottawa. . !
