Corporation. of the 'Township of West Wawanosh enacts as fol­ lows: ; -L.-—For—the- -pu-r-pose-a-f-or-esaid-the.. Corporation shall borrow , upon the credit of' the . Corporation a sum. not exceeding Nine thousand dollars ($9,000.00).and shall issue, debentures therefor'- in > sums of not less than $100.00 each.. Each debenture shall bear interest at the rate of five per centum (5%) ..per annum, payable, annually and shall -have coupons attached thereto for the payment of such interest. >2. The said debentures, shall be shall be signed by the Treasurer and his signature thereon may be written, stamped, lithographed or engraved. 5. Commencing in the year 1954 and thereafter in each year in which an instalment of principal of the said debt arid interest be­ come due, the Corporation shall levy and raise the specific sum | shown for the respective year in the fourth column of the said Schedule. Such, sum shall be ley- - i ed~-ani d—raisdd by—a-spec ial -rat-e- sufficient.. .therefor;over .and above all other rates, upon all the rateable property properly 'rated to the rate payers of the -municipality-.-—-------—— 6. The said debentures may con­ tain. a clause- providirig for the .legistration thereof pursuant to section 336 of the Municipal Act. 77 "Pendiri^^ the said debentures, the head of the Coun-. cii and the Treasurer may raise for the purposes aforesaid by the ’way of loan on such debentures any sum or sums of money not exceeding in all the sum hereby authorized to be borrowed and may hypothecate such debentures for such loan. 8. The Corporation shall have »the right, at its option, to redeem all of. tl?e said debentures, which mature in the tenth , year of the 7sKue~"o"f“these“debentures“at--any- date prior to maturity at the places Where and in ; the. money in which the said debentures are I expressed to bb. payable, upon payment of the principal amount thereof .together w’ithrinterest ac- crued to the date of redemption and upon giving previous notice of said intention to redeem by ad­ vertising. once in the Ontario Gazette and once in a '.daily, news­ paper of general provincial circul­ ation, published in the City of Toronto,, and once in a local news­ paper, such notice to be adver­ tised as aforesaid at least thirty days , before the date fixed for redemption. Notice of intention so to redeem shall also be serij? by post at . least thirty days prior to the date set for such redemption to eaeh person in whose name a 'debenture so to be redeemed is registered at the address shown in the Debenture Registry Book. 9. - The Corporation shall not give., effect to this by-law until the' same has been J?ead a first arid sec’ond time and approved of by Ui^nTrajur r ty "p’f-tli e-q u a 1-i-f-i ed—rate- payersWho cast .their votes for the express- purpose of obtaining their approval therefor.
