WHEREAS ; it i$ expedient to
borrow for the purpose of grant-'
ing the Wingham Public Hospital
'Ltiildirig additibns-thereto a
sum not exceeding Nine Thdus-

credipof. the-Corporation of the
Township , of West Wawanosh .to
issue debentures therefor .'bearing
interest at the, rate of’five (5%)
per centum per annum payable
annually and to provide for the
expenses incidental to the nego
tiation and sale of such deben
tures;
AND WHEREAS it is expedient
to make the principal of the said
debt re payable in annual iristai-,
rnents during the period of ten’
years next after the date of issue . m

“I .remember horse’ and buggy

tail, and well I remember Mr.
McNab, making his weekly trips
to our lively village to' pick up.
. -cases of eggs: and butter. I can
see him holding an egg in -his
hand and looking through to the
light to test if it was half hatched
as many an egg was gathered
from the wheat stooks in the field
where a hen would lay her eggs

the . Corporation. of the 'Township
of West Wawanosh enacts as fol
lows: ;
-L.-—For—the- -pu-r-pose-a-f-or-esaid-the..
Corporation shall borrow , upon
the credit of' the . Corporation a
sum. not exceeding Nine thousand
dollars ($9,000.00).and shall issue,
debentures therefor'- in > sums of
not less than $100.00 each.. Each
debenture shall bear interest at
the rate of five per centum (5%)
..per annum, payable, annually and
shall -have coupons attached
thereto for the payment of such
interest.

shall be the amounts^so designat
ed in Schedule “A” hereto annex
ed.
3; The debentures-shall be pay
able as to both principal and in
terest in lawful money of Canada
and may 'be made payable, at
such place dr places in Canada
as. shall be designated thereon:
4. The said debentures, shall be
shall be signed by the Treasurer
and his signature thereon may be
written, stamped, lithographed or
engraved.
5. Commencing in the year 1954
and thereafter in each year in
which an instalment of principal
of the said debt arid interest be
come due, the Corporation shall
levy and raise the specific sum
| shown for the respective year in
the fourth column of the said
Schedule. Such, sum shall be ley-

sufficient.. .therefor;over .and
above all other rates, upon all
the rateable property properly

6. The said debentures may con
tain. a clause- providirig for the
.legistration thereof pursuant to
section 336 of the Municipal Act.

debentures, the head of the Coun-.
cii and the Treasurer may raise
for the purposes aforesaid by the
’way of loan on such debentures
any sum or sums of money not
exceeding in all the sum hereby
authorized to be borrowed and
may hypothecate such debentures
for such loan.
8. The Corporation shall have
»the right, at its option, to redeem
all of. tl?e said debentures, which
mature in the tenth , year of the

date prior to maturity at the
places Where and in ; the. money
in which the said debentures are
I expressed to bb. payable, upon
payment of the principal amount
thereof .together w’ithrinterest ac-
crued to the date of redemption
and upon giving previous notice
of said intention to redeem by ad
vertising. once in the Ontario
Gazette and once in a '.daily, news
paper of general provincial circul
ation, published in the City of
Toronto,, and once in a local news
paper, such notice to be adver
tised as aforesaid at least thirty
days , before the date fixed for
redemption. Notice of intention so
to redeem shall also be serij? by
post at . least thirty days prior to
the date set for such redemption
to eaeh person in whose name a
'debenture so to be redeemed is
registered at the address shown
in the Debenture Registry Book.
9. - The Corporation shall not give.,
effect to this by-law until the'
