J. Arpold, Ripley, became the bride of James Malcolm, son- - of Mr. James McEwan, Sr., of Kincar­ dine. The Rev. F. G. Purchase officiated for the double' ring ceremony, ' - Given in marriage by her fath­ er, the bride wore a floor length gown, of net - and chantilly lace over satin. Her fingertip,, veil of $ylon net was held by a tiara of seed pearls. She wore matching pearl I necklace and earrings, the gift of the groom. Her ibouquet was red roses caught with tulle ribbon. ‘ Miss Joanne Julien of Acton, was bridesmaid wearing a floor length gown of mauve taffeta and carrying yellow gladioli. Miss Mary White, niece of the groom/, floor length gown of yellow taf­ feta and. carrying mauve gladioli. yDonald McEwan, brother of the groom, was ' the best man; and Gordon Arnold was usher. Previous to the ceremony, Mrs.’ John Siderius sang “O Perfect Love” 'and. during the signing of the register, “I’ll Walk Beside _You”.Ji.Following- the- ceremony; the: pupils of . S:S. No. 13, Huron, sang the Lord’s prayer. They were received by Mr. and Mrs. Wm. J. Arnold and Mrs. Jack White and Mr. James Me- Ewan, Sr, Mrs, Arnold and Mrs. White each wore navy sheer stresses with corsages of red roses. For a motor trip to Ndrthern Ontario, the' bride chose. a dress of pink linen with matching bol­ ero with navy;. accessories ‘ arid Wore a corsage of white carna­ tions. On their return Mr.-. and Mrs^ McEwan will reside on the groom'sfarm at Kiriloss. Prior to her marriage the bride-elect was honored at sev­ eral occasions. Showers were held - at Purple Grove School, Bervie church hall and at the home1 of Mrs* Lloyd Arnold.
