JOSHUA DAWSON The death of Mrs. Joshua Daw­ son occurred last Wednesday with shocking suddenness, when she succumber to a heart attack in -Wingham Hospital, ' She; was a lifelong resident of Kinloss Township, and a kind ancMiospitable friend and neigh­ bor,* Mrs. Dawson was 76 years of age. She.was formerly Mary Jane Mirehouse, daughter-of the late JohmandrMary’Mirehouseof'Kin^ loss Township, where; she was born '.on October 9th, 1876, On September 15th, 189 ft. she mar­ ried. her now bereft husband and to them was born a family of seven children — five bpys and two girls. The daughters, Wilda and Mrs. Clark McLean’ >(Helen) both predeceased their mother. Mr.s McLean passed away just a few months ago. < The funeral service, conducted by Rev. G. S. Baul'ch of South Kinloss Presbyterian church, was held at her late residence, Sec­ ond Concession, Kinloss, on Sat­ urday afternoon with interment in Langside Cemetery. Pallbear­ ers were Mrs. Dawson’s five sons and her son-in-law, Clark Mc­ Lean; Besides her husband the sur­ viving sons are Alex, William and Stuart of London, Harold of TdrontpandHuritleybn the home ’ farm. ’’ . Mrs! Dawson is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Annie McDon­ ald of Carrievale, Sask., and a brother, Mr. _ Alex. Mirehouse of Melita, Manitoba. LUCKNOW I I I4 i i ! Beyond lie Wren’s Marlbor­ ough House, and the stately fa­ cade of Carlton House Terrace. Through Admiralty Arch: contin­ gents of the Royal NaVy stand guard beneath Nelson’s Column in Trafalgar Square, continuing down Northumberland Avenue and along the Victoria Embank­ ment into Bridge Street, whence Officer Cadet? of the three Ser­ vices guide the Procession round Parliament Square into Broad Sanctuary and the approaches to WesJtmihsterAbbey. . / ‘ < The return route lies up White­ hall, past Downing Street and the principal Government offices, and the site of Elizabeth I’s Palace of Whitehall. In the centre stands the Cenotaph, memorial to the dead of two wars., Cockspur St., past Canada House, is*•; manned by Canadian Contingents, suc­ ceeded at the junction, of Lower Regent Street by United King­ dom troops, who line the route through Pall Mall and St. James’ Street, 'westwards along Picadilly to Hyde Park Corner, and along_ _ the East Carriage Drive through the Park. Under the Marble Arch - Units of the Royal Air Force line the route eastwards , to jOxford Circus and down Regent Street. The painting was supplied by the Post Office Department for distribu­ tion to all post; offices. John, the eldest ofi the family,, did not reside here as he was then employed elsewhere in the batik and entered the minis­ try at a later date.
