The roll call o was answered with an Irish joke. ; There were 20 members, 6 visi- , tors and 2 children. The Salada Tea quilt tickets are on sale and the quilt is on display at ^John- ' ... stone’s Furniture Store. Work on .. the hooked rug Jor the new Sal­ ada Tea contest is underway and the co-operation of all members with their donations of woollen is ,required to make, it a success. The Institute donated $10 to the European IFlood rReliefv^also a quilt that was 'made up by Mrs. Wilkins. A demonstration on making mitts, from cloth was given by Mrs. Bert Alton. Douglas Simpson gave the offer­ ing prayer. Mrs. Farish Moffat gave the topic “The Beatitudes’’. Wiljiam Young gave the closing prayer; ■ Presbyterian VV.M.S. Mrs. Winn-was hostess to the Senior Auxiliary, which met at the Mapse on Wednesday,. March 4th. Miss -MacLeod conducted op?- ening exercises and also took flhe Bible study; dealing with the re- jeetiop of Isreal and the present restoration of .their— own—land.- Isreal today can be termed “the clock of the world”. Mrs. J. Little summarized the story from the supplementary Study book while Mrs. Morgan Henderson gave a detailed account of the life of David Livingston. Mrs, Harry Anderson, Miss Carrick and Mrs. Joe Agnew took part in the pray­ er circle, followed by a pleasing solo by, Mrs. Robt. Reid. The roll cal! Was answered by a verse be­ ginning with “M”. Mrs. H. Nixon reported/for the visiting commit­ tee during the month of Febru­ ary. The meeting closed with prayer by Mrs. Winn who also served, lunch to the society.
