The Maitland Valley Conservation Authority is currently accepting applications for a
Watershed Technician position. This is a six month contract position starting in July
2011.
Assisting with the coordination and delivery of a watershed stewardship initiative
including contacting landowners, report writing and environmental monitoring.
Familiarity with the Maitland Valley ConservationAuthority watershed and/or a
rural background would be an asset.
University or College diploma in environmental science, geography, resource
management, forestry or a related discipline.

FIRE PREVENTION OFFICER
The Municipality requires a part-time Fire Prevention Officer to play a
key role in promoting fire and life safety in the community through
inspection and delivery of public education initiatives.
The successful applicant will require a knowledge of modern
firefighting, prevention and training methods, health and safety
regulations, Municipal by-laws and provincial statutes related to fire
safety and fire prevention, NFPA regulations, and the principles,
techniques, codes, accepted practices and materials used for building
construction.
This is an hourly paid position with a 20 hour work week. A detailed job
description, including pay range can be picked up at the Township of
North Huron Municipal Office in Wingham.

Supply Designated ECE candidate: must have a minimum two-year community college Early Childhood Educa on diploma,
proof of current registra on with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators, a valid CPR and First Aid Cer cate and
recent experience as an ECE working in an Early Learning Centre or Day Care.
Supply Secretary candidate: must be competent in keyboarding and computer literacy; work independently; possess
organiza on and mul -tasking skills; excellent oral and wri en communica on skills. One year college level cer cate
or diploma in o ce administra on plus related work experience required.
Supply Technical Resource Assistant (TRA) candidate: will maintain the library; troubleshoo ng common computer
hardware/so ware problems; network support; administra ve and clerical tasks; suppor ng students with the use of
technology. One year college level cer cate or diploma in computer training plus related work experience required.
Supply Educa onal Assistant (EA) candidate: will provide physical, behavioural and/or academic support to students
in integrated or self-contained se ngs. Excellent oral and wri en communica on skills; and excellent interpersonal and
professional skills. One year college level cer cate or diploma in the educa onal assistant or related eld, or equivalent
experience required.
Supply Custodian candidate: will involve the ability to li , climb stairs and ladders; knowledge of proper usage of
chemicals and cleaning supplies; experience in handling machinery ie. bu ng machine; and mechanical ap tude in the
trades. Minimum Grade 12 Diploma required.

PART-TIME SITE ASSISTANT
WINGHAM WASTE DISPOSAL SITE
Duties will include assisting with administration of a tipping fee and
recycling program and day to day operations of the site.
This is an hourly paid position with a 26 hour work week. Work hours
include Tuesdays, Fridays, Thursday evenings during the summer
months, and Saturdays.
