The fundraiser, which takes place at Memorial Community Hall June 3-4, is the largest of its kind in Huron County. Thousands of gently-used hard and soft cover books, romance novels, videos, board games, children’s books, sheet music, CDs, audio tapes and records will be on sale, along with Lynda’s county-wide famous pies. “The book sale and pie bake is not only one of our longest-standing and most successful fundraising events, but it has become a Blyth Festival tradition,” says General Manger Deb Sholdice. “People from all over the county, and as far away as Stratford, London and Waterloo, line up early to stock up on summer reading and enjoy a slice of homemade pie.” The book sale is open Friday, June 3 from 5 - 8 p.m., and Saturday, June 4 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Admission is free. Light refreshments will be available for sale, as well as homemade apple and rhubarb pies. Pre-orders for whole pies are encouraged by calling 519-523- 9300/1-877-862-5984. The Blyth Festival is also seeking volunteers to help with the event. Interested individuals are encouraged to contact the Blyth Festival at 519-523-9300/1-877- 862-5984. Book donations will be accepted May 30 - June 2, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the Blyth Memorial Community Hall.
