Wayne Arthur Hartman of
Bayfield passed away at Alexandra
Marine and General Hospital,
Goderich on Tuesday, April 26,
2011. He was in his 56th year.
Wayne was the beloved husband
of Joyce (McCallum) Hartman. He
was the cherished son of Pearl
Hartman of Bayfield and son-in-law
of Harold and Pearl McCallum of
Walton. Wayne was the dear brother-
in-law of Tilly and Robert Anderson
of Londesborough, Paul and Dianne
McCallum, Ron and Betty
McCallum, Carl and Tabb
McCallum, all of Walton and Marion
McCallum and her friend Merv
Soleski of Stratford. He was loved
and will be deeply missed by many
nieces and nephews and great-nieces
and great-nephews. He was
predeceased by his father Bob
Hartman and his brother Mark
Hartman.
At Wayne’s request cremation has
taken place.
Friends were received at the
Falconer Funeral Homes Ltd.,
Clinton Chapel, 153 High St.,
Clinton on April 29 from 2 - 4 and 7
- 9 p.m. A private celebration of life
service will take place at a later date.
Memorial donations to the
Community Care Access Centre, the
Alexandra Marine and General
Hospital or the Canadian Cancer
Society would be appreciated as
expressions of sympathy.
ALICE EMALINE STURDY
Mrs. Emma Sturdy of Wingham
passed away at Wingham and
District Hospital on Sunday, May 1,
2011. She was 94.
Emma was the beloved wife of the
late Stanley Marks (1964) and the
late John Sturdy (1984), loving
mother of Alice and Wade Stapleton
of Wingham, Jack and Doreen
Marks of Belgrave, and Betty and
Bruce Ortlieb of Bluevale and sister-
in-law of Alice Nicholson. She was
the grandmother of Stan and Gail,
Steve and Trudy, Darryl and Janice,
Karrin and Shane, Michael, Angie
and Mark and Jayme and great-
grandmother of Wes and Amy, Scott,
Ben, Kurtis, Phillip, Laura, Kaitlyn
and Shannon.
She was predeceased by her
parents Garner and Mariah
(Osborne) Nicholson, her infant
sister Agnes and her brother Garner
Nicholson.
Visitation was held at McBurney
Funeral Home, Wingham on
Wednesday from 7 - 9 p.m. The
Royal Canadian Legion Auxiliary
Service was held at the funeral home
on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. The
funeral service will be held at the
funeral home chapel on Thursday at
11:30 a.m. Rev. Bernard Skelding
will officiate.
Interment is in Wingham
Cemetery, Wingham. Memorial
donations to the Diabetes
Association, Cancer Society or
Wingham and District Hospital
Foundation would be appreciated as
expressions of sympathy.

JOHN (SJOERD) VAN WYK
John (Sjoerd) Van Wyk passed into
glory on Easter weekend April 25,
2011. John is survived by his loving
wife Marion (Vanderlinde) and sons
and daughters-in-law, Gerald and
Karen, Bill and Kim, Jeff and Linda
and Rick and Laurie. He was the
grandfather of 13 grandchildren,
Brittany, Ryan, Sarah, Nathan,
Danielle, Jessica, Eric, Kyle,
Leanna, Brenden, Michael, Matthew
and Andrew.
John is also survived by his
brothers and sisters, Gerrit Jan and
Froukje, Simon and Bea, Dina
Antuma, Jantje Vanderzee, Siny and
Henk Klugkist, and sister-in-law
Klaaske, all of the Netherlands and
Henk Van Wyk of Petrolia.
He was predeceased by his brother
Harry and by his sister Ge Klugkist.
Friends were received at the
Falconer Funeral Homes, Bluewater
Chapel, 201 Suncoast Dr. E.,
Goderich on April 27.
The funeral service was held at the
Clinton Christian Reformed Church,
Clinton on April 28 at 11 a.m.
Interment was in Clinton Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy,
memorial donations to the Clinton
and District Christian School or the
Canadian Cancer Society would be
greatly appreciated.
