Brussels garage plans to expand after two years
Drive on
Korey Machan of Mbros Auto in Brussels will be able to
service more customers with plans to expand his business
with new bays and alignment equipment. (Denny Scott photo)
Mbros Auto in Brussels is looking
at expanding its home-grown
operation and owner Korey Machan
couldn’t be happier about the growth
in his business and life-long dream.
Originally started in August 2009,
Machan, a mechanic, began putting
his near-decade of experience to
work in his own business.
“I’ve worked in London and Blyth
and around here, and I just wanted to
be my own boss,” he said. His shop deals with engine work, transmission, tune-ups, exhaust, brakes, wheels and tires, computer
diagnostics, oil sprays and “a little
bit of everything” according to the
Blyth native.
The expansion will include two
new bays and machines to help with
alignment, Machan said, and are still
materializing, but he’s excited for
the expansion.
“The alignment will be available
in two months,” he said. “The two
new bays will put me among thebigger shops in the area.”Machan believes that his successis attributed to both his skill as well
as the impression he leaves people
with.
“I haven’t had to do a lot of
advertising, people come to me,” he
said.
The shop, located on the southern
end of Brussels’ main street, was
custom built by Machan in the rental
space he is leasing to accommodate
his equipment.

Friday and Easter Monday.
The Saturday afternoon euchre
had 10 tables of players. Winners
were: high, Delores Howatt and
Lillian Appleby, 82; second, Charlie
and John, 81; third, Dorothy Carter
and Joann MacDonald, 79; lone
hands, Hazel and Helen; low
couple, Wilmer and Marie, 46.
The Branch was busy upstairs
with the final day of the Huron
County men’s dart league. They
played singles and doubles
competition and had a good day.
The Sunday night dance crowd of
over 90 enjoyed the music of the
Country Versatiles. It was great to
have a full house after the weather
causing smaller crowds lately.
Ladies helping out the Branch
included Jo-Ann McDonald, Judy
Lee, Mabel Glanville and Mary
Bradshaw. Thanks girls.
Howatt, Appleby win euchre
