LORNE WILLIAM DAER
Lorne William Daer of New
Hamburg passed away at St Mary’s
General Hospital, Kitchener on April
8, 2011. He was 64.
Lorne was the son of the late Bert
and Dorothy (Vodden) Daer, the
beloved husband of June (Yungblut)
Daer whom he married March 11,
1972 and loving father of Laura and
Todd Winkworth of St. Thomas and
Jason and Leighann Daer of Baden.
He will be sadly missed by his
grandchildren Zach, Avery, Abbigail
and Logan. He was the dear brother
and brother-in-law of Isabel and Pete
Campbell of Wingham, Ross Daer of
Auburn, Ed and Nancy Daer of
Wingham, Ken Daer and Janice
Cosgrove of Clinton, Laura and Fred
Lawrence of Blenheim, Earl and
Elke Yungblut, Tom and Henny
Yungblut, Louis Yungblut, Ann
Legg, Marie Yungblut, Laura and
Larry Turvey and George and Carol
Yungblut.
He will also be missed by a
number of nieces, nephews and
close friends Cheryl and Steve, Jake
and Beck. Lorne was predeceased by
his sisters-in-law Evelyn Daer and
Joan Yungblut.
Lorne had worked at L.H. Gray, in
Listowel and AW Millwrights, in
Milverton. Cremation has taken
place. Family and friends called at
the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, New
Hamburg for a memorial visitation
on Monday, April 11 from 2 - 4 and
7 - 9 p.m.
A celebration of Lorne’s life took
place on Tuesday, April 12 at the
New Hamburg Legion. Honorary
pallbearers were Richard Baechler,
Bruce Yantzi, Mark Soehner, Ken
Daer, Todd Winkworth, Warren Leis
and Jake Miller.
LYNDA McADAM
Lynda Marie McAdam passed
away peacefully with her family by
her side at Clinton Public Hospital
on Sunday, April 17, 2011. She was
in her 64th year.
Lynda was the beloved wife of
Donald McAdam. She was the
mother of five daughters, Kim
Moore (Terry), Karen Pennington
(Ken), Krista McNichol (Mike),
Karen McAdam (Ricardo) and
Rhonda West and the loving
grandma of 11 grandchildren and
one great-granddaughter.
Lynda is also survived by her
mother Marie Robinson and her
sisters and brothers. She was
predeceased by her parents Stan and
Edna Dickey and sisters Bea and
Sherry.
Friends were received at the
Falconer Funeral Homes Ltd. - Blyth
Visitation Centre, 407 Queen Street,
Blyth on Wednesday, April 20 from
2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. The funeral
service will be held at Blyth United
Church on Thursday, April 21 at 11
a.m. with Rev. Gary Clark
officiating. Cremation will be
followed by a private family
interment at Nairn Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, the
family would appreciate memorial
donations to the Canadian Cancer
Society or the charity of your
choice.

Pat Glazier called last week to
report that she is home and
coping quite well with her walker.
However, as she is alone from
Monday to Friday, she would enjoy a
visit.
Rockin’ to the ’50s happens this
Thursday, April 21 at Hullett Central
Public School from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
There promises to be all sorts of fun
for everyone. The School Advisory
Council encourages everyone to
come out, join the excitement and
socialize with your neighbours and
friends. Get in the mood by wearing
your poodle skirts, leather jackets
and bobbysocks and greasing back
your hair.
Jackie and Les Cook of Blyth will
take everyone back in time as they
demonstrate ‘the swing’ at 6:30 p.m.
The kids can enjoy the games room,
have their faces painted, try on a
tattoo and munch on treats. Food, as
in hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza,
candy apples and popcorn will be
available.
Other attractions include a bake
table, a penny sale and silent and live
auction items. See you there.
