We are grateful for the use of Melville Church’s facilities, their ongoing support, and the extra caretaking Harvey and Betty Shaw do to help us. We are very appreciative of the generous monetary donation made by the Brussels Optimists, as well as the Brussels Lions Club purchasing a much-needed freezer for our use. We thank the Brussels Figure Skating Club, Cardiff Catering and Cinnamon Jim’s for their donations of foodstuffs. Thank you to the Knox Belgrave W.M.S. and the numerous private individuals who have shown their support through cash donations. These gifts enable us to buy the groceries. A huge thank you is extended to our volunteers, consisting of members from Brussels and area churches as well as the community, who give of their time and talents to prepare and serve the food, greet and meet with our guests and help clean up. It is so good to work and share a meal together, and get to know our neighbours better. We would like to thank our diners (average attendance of 45) who come out every Friday between 11:30 and 1, to share in the food, fun and fellowship. All are welcome.
