THE BRUSSELS MINISTERIAL
ASSOCIATION and organizers of
Soup and More 2 wish to thank the
Brussels and area community for
their tremendous support during out
first six months of operation. We are
grateful for the use of Melville
Church’s facilities, their ongoing
support, and the extra caretaking
Harvey and Betty Shaw do to help us.
We are very appreciative of the
generous monetary donation made by
the Brussels Optimists, as well as the
Brussels Lions Club purchasing a
much-needed freezer for our use. We
thank the Brussels Figure Skating
Club, Cardiff Catering and Cinnamon
Jim’s for their donations of
foodstuffs. Thank you to the Knox
Belgrave W.M.S. and the numerous
private individuals who have shown
their support through cash donations.
These gifts enable us to buy the
groceries. A huge thank you is
extended to our volunteers,
consisting of members from Brussels
and area churches as well as the
community, who give of their time
and talents to prepare and serve the
food, greet and meet with our guests
and help clean up. It is so good to
work and share a meal together, and
get to know our neighbours better.
We would like to thank our diners
(average attendance of 45) who come
out every Friday between 11:30 and
1, to share in the food, fun and
fellowship. All are welcome. Once
again, thank you to each and every
one. 15-1
