The vote of non-confidence was also spurred on by the Conservative Government being found in contempt of Parliament. Conservative Party Cabinet Minister Bev Oda may have also been found in contempt of Parliament, however the committee was dissolved with Parliament before a result could be tabled. The non-confidence vote passed on party lines with all Conservatives voting against it (145 members) and all Bloc Quebecois, Liberal and NDP candidates voting for it (156 members). Comments were also made by several councillors, including Seaforth newcomer Nathan Marshall, that the municipality’s aging infrastructure should be one of the main concerns of the 2011 budget. He cited the municipality’s building study and said that if council wasn’t planning on taking action, that reports such as that one were unnecessary. “There’s no sense in examining what’s wrong with our buildings if we’re not going to fix them.” Happy Belated Birthday to Terry Pierce on March 22 and to Brendan Pierce on March 24 Love from Grandma & Paul Beginning April 1 Lunch Buffet Every Friday 11:30 - 1:30 All-you-can-eat only $1000 tax incl.
