The family of the late Leona McDonald wishes to express sincere gratitude to our family, friends and community for the love and support that we have been shown at this difficult time. Leona appreciated seeing all of those who visited the hospital to reminisce and brighten her days. Thanks to the staff at Seaforth Community Hospital for the excellent care she received and the compassion shown to our family. The Walton Women’s Institute and The Brussels Legion hosted touching services in her honour that will always be remembered. Rev. Sandra Cable, Jean Bewley, Mary Baker, and John Welch all contributed to creating a respectful and insightful service that truly celebrated the times of Leona’s life. Granddaughter LeeAnn Konarski delivered a eulogy that truly described the impact Leona had on her family’s lives and how proud she was of their accomplishments. We are grateful to Duff’s United Church U.C.W. for preparing the delicious luncheon for after the funeral. Thanks to Frank and Jennie of Schimanski Family Funeral Home for their professional guidance, patience and gentle manner. The family appreciates the thoughtful- ness of everyone who sent cards, food, floral arrangements and the many memorial donations in memory of Leona.
